Today (Oct.3rd,2012) I felt like I won the lottery!! Today I found an HONEST auto shop. My car wouldn't work for a couple of days, nothing electrical was working. My regular mechanic, who has checked my car inside and out, told me that I probably needed to get a new ($800.00) alternator. But the wonderful people at Jays Auto Body quickly found the real reason: the clamps connecting the battery had become rusted, and with sandpaper, they easily fixed the problem,by removing the rust. Even though for years, my regular mechanic had been telling me that they had been checking my battery during routine inspections. Jays Auto Body also inspected my front brake pads & rotors, when another auto shop tried to scare me into buying new ones every year, or I would have an accident with my brakes.But when Jays Auto inspected my rotors; they said that they were just fine. Today we took our car to Honda City ServiceCenter to drop it off for an oil change. The professionals at Hond City took 45 minuites to check in the car and lectured us about the proper procedure for when oil chould be changed. I am thankful for their professional input as the last four vehicles we have owner only had over 100,000 miles on them when we sold them andnever needed ay type of engine work. Guess we did a pretty bad job maintaining them. This was the first of the "free" oil canges Honda provides as part of our new car purchase. I can assure youit will be the last as well. I will take the vehicle elsewhere where they can get me in and out in a reasonable time andactually know what they are talking about.
