I'm actually another repair facility, so obviously I KNOW how repair facilities work and have been doing this for 20 years. I recently did business with this repair facility. One of MY customers was passing through Jacksonville when her engine started making noise. She went into this shop to find out what was going on with her vehicle. She was told it needed an engine. She then called me to assist her with her vehicle. I spoke to the owner, Tim, who told me the engine has low end banging noise. I asked if he would pull codes for me which he did. he indicated there were no stored codes. I expected to pay a fee but $110.00 is extremely excessive. Given the same circumstances my shop would have charged 35.00, (maybe), probably would not have charged anything. So let's break this down, I was charged $45.00 for Tim listening, yes listening and another $65.00 for pulling codes. Now everyone who reads this, check your local papers. You will find that EVERY shop charges $0.00 to pull codes and I've never heard of anyone charging for listening. I have to say Tim, I truly feel you took advantage of me. I'm not just a customer off the street, I KNOW what you have to do. I KNOW what goes on within repair facilities. I hope everyone reading this sees this as the rip-off it really is. Unfortunately a rat took up residencey in the engine of my vehicle and chewed thru a bunch of wires. Plus my ac was having problems. If you give Lee the time,he will give you an honest estimate and repair. Great place to deal with!!

I can't say enough good things about Mark. We were visiting JAX and discovered an oil leak in our Range Rover on a Thursday night. Mark got us in the next morning and provided a quick diagnosis and repair cost estimate. Even though the parts had to be ordered (none in the area) we were still able to get it fixed and back home on time. Mark was a pleasure to work with and I would absolutely use his services again....Top Notch!!!

Chris came to my rescue today. I just had my oil changed at the oil change place down the street and the next time I started my car there were multiple warning lights on. He hooked it up to monitor, opened the hood and said "here's your problem" as he reconnected a hose. I was on my way in 5 minutes and he didn't charge me. We have used Westside Automotive for many years for our vehicle repairs and always been satisfied. I guess I should have used them for the oil change too so it would have been done right. I have twice used H and M for machine work while rebuilding engines. The first time in 1995 was on a Ford 2.9L V-6. They tanked the block, bored and honed the cylinders, align bored the crank journals, pressed in new cam bearings, installed reconditioned rods on new pistons, turned and polished the crank, installed freeze plugs, and painted the block. They also supplied all my parts for the rebuild. Cost me a total of $863.00 back then. (Didn't need the heads done) About a one week turnaround time. Everything was great. I again used H and M this past year for basically the same job on a Ford 3.0 V-6. Same excellent results! I was new to the Jacksonville area and needed to have some work done on my car. I called over to Tubels and they fit me in that day. They diagnosed what was wrong with car and even fixed it that day. I guess that is why they must be one of the top auto repair shops in Jacksonville FL.

I had my Dakota trans overhauled at this shop and have nothing but shifting problems despite bringing it back 3 times it's still was not right! Got tired of dealing with the rude manager and took it to another shop to make it right. Never again.

Came in to check noise from front brakes. I feared the worst since its my wifes car. After they checked it out found I only needed front pads everything else was good. Price was really good for high quality ceramic pads. I will start using this shop for both of our cars.

I just bought four 22" rims and saved about a grand. The shop didn't have the tires I wanted in a 22" size or I would have given them 5 stars.

I called Precision Crankshaft when the head gasket blew on my mustang. They quoted me $35 to resurface the heads. When I went back to pick them up they charged me $224. When I asked why there was such a price difference they stated that they went ahead and performed a vacuum test and a pressure test. Both were services I never asked for and they were never mentioned in any quote. I feel they were dishonest with me from the beginning. They should have included those services in the initial quote so I was not blind-sided by the price difference.

I had a horrible experience at this shop. I am a single working mother and I was having some problems with my car overheating. I needed the radiator flushed (knew what the problem was) so I called to see if they could help me since they were the closest shop to my house and I did not want to overheat. The woman on the phone told me to come right in so I did. When I got there I reminded her that I had called about the flush. She proceeded to suggest that I pay for a "diagnostic test" first to see why the car was overheating. I knew why it was overheating, so I just wanted it flushed. Somehow I let her talk me into giving me this diagnostic test. It took them about an hour to "diagnose" my car. The told me I needed $1,800 worth of repairs and that my entire cooling system was ruined, which meant I needed to replace the radiator, thermostat, and every single hose. I was almost in tears because I have no money and I need my car to take my small child to school and to get to work. When I asked if there was any other resolution I was told that this was the only way I could have a working vehicle. They refused to flush the radiator for me because they insisted it was impossible to get the substance out. They suggested I apply for their credit card, but I do not have good credit as I am a struggling single mother. I left in tears and without hope. The next day my friend connected me with a man who had a small shop. He flushed my radiator out and changed my thermostat for $50. The car no longer overheats and it runs like a champ. Tires Plus is a perfect example of auto shops that try to rip innocent poor people off. The worst part about the whole thing was that it was another woman who tried to do me dirty. Damn shame. Oh and they also left a dirty rag on my engine and they never put my radiator cap back on my car. WTF? If I could give this shop a negative star I would.
