Robin Sidbury was born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida. He started working in the transmission repair business as an installation technician for a major transmission repair franchise. He worked his way up through the ranks of the automotive industry from an installation technician, to customer service manager, to office manager and finally to the owner of Action Transmission Specialists. He has been in the transmission repair business for over thirty years and is an active member of ATRA (Automatic Transmission Rebuilders Association). In his spare time he volunteers for Baptist Hospital and enjoys sailing.
Robin prides himself on personalized quality service and customer satisfaction.

Steve Joel is an expert mechanic and communicator. Steve goes the extra mile to make sure the customer understands the issues and steps to fix the vehicle. when other items were found, he brought them to my attention and he was correct on each issue. these are repairs to be done elsewhere and are being done this week. i am very appreciative of Steve for his expertise, honesty and great communication and care. I will never use a different Transmission Company! Action Transmission has the best service and professionalism that I've ever seen in a Transmission company. Their price was fair, they were excellent in telling everything they found and explaining any options, and not giving me any pressure to pick those options. In 8 months, I am moving 100 miles away. However, I will come back to Action Transmission for any needed transmission work on any of my four trucks!

I usually do my own work, but Transmissions were never my cup of tea. Lee, at Neptune Beach Tire Kingdom, told me Action Transmission is the best in Jacksonville, and he wasn't kidding! They did not try to oversell me anything and told me exactly what I needed and even gave me recommendations to lower the cost of the work. They even found my brakes were getting close to needing to be replaced and said they do not do that kind of work and recommended a shop (I do my own). Great company! Great people! And excellent work!! I'll be going back!

Car Repair and Maintenance
They are the best! I almost sold my 1996 Honda for $200 because I was told by an mechanic that my transmission $1200 to fix! But I took my car to Action Transmission and Robin told me it was my axle that came out of the transmission! long story short....$230 TO FIX MY CAR!!!!!

transmission repair
I had my 96 Dodge diesel tranny get fried these guys took care of the problem ASAP. I was charged very reasonable price including a warranty with service for a year parts an labor.When I looked up these guys at Action Transmission I read nothing but positive reviews.Its a small shop on the northside of town.I wouldn't go anywhere else! Very honest and Reliable. Thanks Robin! Chris
