I own Douglas Automotive Repair Inc and am sorry you experienced some quality issues with our shop. I am a certified technician and have been for 35 years. We always use high quality parts in our repairs; through the years we’ve been in business we’ve found that it just doesn’t pay to use lower quality parts unless it’s a customer request to keep costs down. We did have a period where we were having employee quality issues, but have since resolved those. It’s very unfortunate that it impacted some of our customers as we worked through it. I took my ML 350 due to a problem with the Engine. The drive chain had broken. The dealer's recommendation was to repair and cost was something of buying another car! So, I took to Dupage Auto Werks. The recommendation is to replace the 118K miles engine with a much lower engine. They shopped and found a fimilar engine and practically did a 'Engine Transplantation'! Now that I have an engine not only has a lower mileage, but also was cheaper overall. Very satisfied with them to have suggested and able to get my car worth somehting that I can keep it a much longer time!
