Oil change service near Troy, IL

Horrible service!! I would not recommend anyone to entrust your vehicle with these guys and gals. Because I wanted an "instant oil change" cost me hundreds and still counting in car repairs. They are in such a hurry to get you in and out that they are careless. They failed to secure the hose to the radiator causing the antifreeze to leak out of my car. The bolts to the air filter were not tightened so I had to have someone tighten them for me and lastly a screw was taken off and placed in holding in the fan system we have yet to find out what it goes on. My car is in the shop now because of these guys!! SO MADD

I want to thank everyone at North Belt automotive for doing a great job on my car. They were really fast and professional I brought my car into the shop at 4:40pm Friday(the shop closes at 5). They allowed me to wait inside with my toddler son until my ride came, which unfortunately was running late. They called me by 11:30 Saturday evening. We asked for conventional oil. The man recommended synthetic oil. When we said no, he said we neeeded that oil or our warranty would be void. We agreed. But on the receipt there was a law stating that no one can force you to have that oil. And we called Chevy and they said that the synthetic is recommended but our warranty would be fine if we didn't have it. The agrued with us when we confronted him. He said the paragraph law actually said something different. In the end he argued but charged us for the conventional. After we left we found grease on the upholstery of the car. Black grease on tan. It was on the ceiling. The guy was too big to get in and out of the car and he had to grip the top of the door frame every time. They lost our service and we will never be going back. We were lied too. And my mother felt like she was taken advantage of.

I agree with Gene. In my case I drive a diesel Sprinter, very hard to get good service on to begin with because it is all German. I live in Montana too. I was referred to Westport Autohouse by a friend whose personal experience was very similar to the other review. So I called and made an appointment. The owner - Mike- insisted that because he had to order parts I should plan on leaving it overnight. I told him - Ok but- I had to be finished by 4 PM on Thursday since i had to be in another part of the state for business on Friday. The initial estimate was fine and was accurate to what needed to be done according to my research on the problems and the symptoms. The final bill came in a bit higher but they had completed all the repairs, the van drove smoothly and perfectly for the first time in months !! I am elated. I had been in a Mercedes Benz dealership earlier to get the same things done and they wanted over $2,000 more and most of that was for the wrong stuff anyway. I highly recommend Westport Autohouse and plan to use them every time I need a repair in the future. Tim B.

Amazing customer service! I was given a breakdown of services I would need ..they even offered discounts. They were really honest and answered all of my questions. Also given their opinion on which services I should prioritize since I wasn't able to pay for all of the services that day. 100000% would recommend to everyone. I stopped at Sal's one day to ask for directions, and after he helped me figure out my way, he noticed an indent on the side of my one of my car's front panels. He asked if I would wait just a minute. He came back with his tools, asked if I would like him to fix it, and proceeded to work a huge improvement on getting the dent out. He wouldn't accept any payment and sent me on my way with a smile. I definitely plan on using him when I need a mechanic next.

We all know how hard it is to find trustworthy business people today who are genuinely concerned with your satisfaction, but these guys are the real deal! I called to get an appointment for the paint on my Cadillac SRX to get fixed. The lady I spoke to was extremely rude and said she wouldn’t make me an appointment because, “It would cost more than my vehicle was worth”. I was nearly speechless. I definitely would Not recommend.

Took my car for inspection,the inspector made up new rules to fail my car. And they wanted to charge 235$ for unneeded repairs took d car for a different inspector d car passed no problem. DO GO THERE, Worse place

Beware of the "Free State Inspection" Shady Mechanics, and Shady Business Practices. I took my truck that I rarely drive to get inspected. Emission was fine however during the state inspection they "found" something that they can fail me for. The technician thought he was talking to a idiot and tried to convince me that my tire had "excessive" movement and I needed a new tire rod and some other additional work. After he finished I informed them that I had all of that work performed the previous year. Took the my truck to Midas where I was going to get the work done the mechanic advised me that my truck in in good shape and the work Car X said I needed was a joke. After talking to Tim (manager) he was willing to have my car looked at again by a different technician. After taking off of work for a second time, they were still trying to convince me that I needed to spend $$$. Now if Midas was not willing to take my business (money) after their inspection why would I pay Car-X? They are true Scammers and try to take advantage of hardworking people. Get a second opinion before allowing them to perform work on your car....You might not need it! I will never set foot in a Car-x again!
