I have lived in Slidell for 21 years and as usual I would let the cheap shops like Pepboys , Walmart..etc work on my cars. Well About 5 yrs ago I needed a Motor put in my wifes car. So off of a friends advice I met with Mr. Allen. And I was blown away at how HONEST and Quality of his work. Yes I heard he had some issues with some of his past employees,But all that is water under the bridge now.... He is MY mechanic now !!! Allen has been a blessing to me and my family, he cares about his work and your pocket book and this is a rare trait now a days.For a owner to do the work himself because his Name is on the building you know he is gonna back up his work. Allen has done several jobs on several of my cars since then and he always comes through, an sets the bar even higher...BRING YOUR CAR TO THIS MECHANIC, I PROMISE YOU 100% SATISFACTION.

I brought my car in to get fixed and as I was explaining the issue to the mechanic his phone rang. While I was talking, without saying "excuse me I need to take this" or "can you hold on a minute" he picks up the phone and just walks away. After I waited for a couple of minutes thinking surely he is coming back , he never came back and never apologized. It was as though he wanted me to leave and that is exactly what I did. How unprofessional! On top of that when we got the car back from them it was worse than it was before! The owner said he would have someone look at it the next day and it was been three days and still have heard nothing! They don't communicate with you about the problems with your car and they pretend as though they did nothing wrong. I do not suggest this shop to anyone.

Always said I wanted to write a review when I'm satisfied.. This shop was the best price and easiest to work with. They told me how much and how long and it cost and took the amount of time they said. Never rude always very nice. Been coming here for 12yrs and always have been up front with me. The only place in New Orleans that actually knows the older Porsches, Randy started working for his father as a young teenager. He can fix problems with the older cars that others won't even touch. These guys know what they are doing and are the best I have found who explain the service or repairs you need and why and do the job right. Being a retired mechanic and auto collector and enthusiast all my life, I know. It is extremely hard for me to let anyone touch my vehicles as I used to do most of my own repairs and for my friends and family until I became disabled in 2006.
