They told me that it needed a transmission. I agreed to have them do the work. Then they told me that the #5 cylinder wasn't firing, and it needed a motor. I was shocked but I figured they knew what they were doing. So I agreed to have them put a motor in also. They continued to say that the #5 cylinder wasn't firing, even after replacing the motor and transmission. They kept saying that "We have to go deep." I picked up my car and asked if it was safe to drive it. I was told that that took it on the highway and it runs great. On the way home I couldn't even get through an intersection after stopping at a red light. I tried to turn on the emergency flashers and they didn't work! I had enough, I took my car to a dealership. They pointed out where Ford and Wayne Auto Care had replaced an oxygen sensor and left the old one hanging underneath my car. There were vacuum hoses that were not attached, wires that were not connected, and parts that were being held on with zip ties. Unfortunately, the dealership was very busy and they could not take care of these issues. I had contacted BBB and they suggested that I take it back to Ford and Wayne Auto Care because they are obligated to fix the issues because it was under warranty. I reluctantly took my car back to them. They replaced another oxygen sensor and now my car is back on the road. It is not 100% by a long shot. I feel that it was probably the oxygen sensor the whole time, not the motor or transmission, and they charged me $5,080 for a whole lot of work that didn't need to be done. And on top of that, they broke something in the front end of my car so now when I make a sharp left turn there is a horrible grinding and clunking noise. I would not recommend this place to anyone for anything.

I drove my 2000 Volvo S80 to get it diagnosed because the engine kept missing even after new parts were replaced. This took place on October 16th of 2019 and all I've been getting about this problem is the runaround from a mechanic named Rich. Initially I was told that the engine may need to be replaced with a price tag of $2700.00. I went out to the shop to put half of the deposit for the engine and then was told that the engine was fine, but it was the engine control module that was in need of repairs. Instead of Rich contacting me of the status of the module, I've had to keep calling and then Rich never calls back when he says. It's been over a month of waiting and this is unacceptable as my wife needs to be cared for and taken to her oncologist for cancer treatments at U of M hospital. At this point and right now, I want my car back with the original module and my $500.00 since nothing but waste time has been done. I caution anyone considering this place for repairs as they are just monkeying around and wasting people's time and money.

I have to start off by saying that I usually don't leave negative reviews because most of the time it doesn't do any good but this time I feel like i have to. I took my car in on August 19, 2016 because my car was making a funny noise. They said my compressor was bad & I had to replace it. So I did, invoice # 160819007, & it cost $876.21 for parts and labor. About a month later I was checking my oil and saw that the bolts securing my refrigerant lines were missing so I took it back and they found some and secured the lines. Now, I have moved to Florida for work and my car is again making the same noise and my ac is blowing hot. I took it in to a local auto ac shop & they said the compressor, that I had Auto-Lab replace, was very old & had failed and not only that, one of the mounting screws was not all the way in because it was stripped. So I need a new compressor. I contacted Auto-Lab corporate office since I'm not in Michigan anymore three times over the period of one month and no one returned my emails. Very, very disappointed in both the quality of the work and the outcome. Will never do business with this franchise again.
