Oil change service near Frontenac, MO

Worst customer service ever. They charged me $70 for a Diagnostic test that had the same information on it as the emissions test that they had just run on my car. They did add an additional part as a necessary replacement although the part wasn't bad. After a friend pointed out that this part wasn't bad, they stated that it was simply a 'suggestion'. I think they should have been more specific although there was no paperwork to be specific on. I got a receipt for my $70. Autozone's free diagnostic tests at least give you some paperwork. When I expressed my dissatisfaction, I was told that I knew nothing about car repair and I was probably lying about how useful the test was. Riiiiiight. The owner really argued vehemently with me about returning my money so I guess he needs it more than I do. By the fact that he works another job and the run-down appearance of this location, I finally stopped trying to get a refund on the most useless and outrageously stupid diagnostic test I've ever had. If you want to be treated with respect and common courtesy, go somewhere else. If you want a company that believes that the customer is always right, don't go here.

This was the 3rd time the techs have put my windows down after being told they were broken and would not go back up. The first time they had to take the door off the hinge, the 2nd time the window did not go all the way back up and I had to drive home in the frezing snow and this last time was the best. After telling the tech not to put the window down he took me into the waiting area where he told all of us the at 30 years old and 4 yers of college he was only making $7.00 an hour and was tired of this crap. He went back to the bay area only to return and ask me if I wanted the good news or the bad news first...the window was put down and they could not get it to go back up. Over an hour later the assistant manager came in and told me that they just couldn"t fix it after all they were not a garage and didn"t have the tools. Funny because when I came in I didn"t need a garage I only needed an oil change. Another attemp was made but alas the window was still down. The assistant manager was very sorry but I would have to return the next day when the manager was in. I drove home on a major highway at 65MPH, in 100 degree temps with the window all the way down. The next day I returned to the shop early and told the manager that he could have my car as long as he needed and he said he would deliver my car to my work. They did bring my car to my work late that afternoon and the window was up but now there is a green wire that is sticking out of my door panel but my window is up and I will have my oil changed somewhere, anywhere but Jiffy Lube.

I agree with Gene. In my case I drive a diesel Sprinter, very hard to get good service on to begin with because it is all German. I live in Montana too. I was referred to Westport Autohouse by a friend whose personal experience was very similar to the other review. So I called and made an appointment. The owner - Mike- insisted that because he had to order parts I should plan on leaving it overnight. I told him - Ok but- I had to be finished by 4 PM on Thursday since i had to be in another part of the state for business on Friday. The initial estimate was fine and was accurate to what needed to be done according to my research on the problems and the symptoms. The final bill came in a bit higher but they had completed all the repairs, the van drove smoothly and perfectly for the first time in months !! I am elated. I had been in a Mercedes Benz dealership earlier to get the same things done and they wanted over $2,000 more and most of that was for the wrong stuff anyway. I highly recommend Westport Autohouse and plan to use them every time I need a repair in the future. Tim B.

Amazing customer service! I was given a breakdown of services I would need ..they even offered discounts. They were really honest and answered all of my questions. Also given their opinion on which services I should prioritize since I wasn't able to pay for all of the services that day. 100000% would recommend to everyone. I came in with a huge radiator failure and John and the guys here definitely gave me the best service and deal on the rates. They're going to be my permanent auto shop home for a while!!

I stopped at Sal's one day to ask for directions, and after he helped me figure out my way, he noticed an indent on the side of my one of my car's front panels. He asked if I would wait just a minute. He came back with his tools, asked if I would like him to fix it, and proceeded to work a huge improvement on getting the dent out. He wouldn't accept any payment and sent me on my way with a smile. I definitely plan on using him when I need a mechanic next.

Best place to bring your car, I have a $90,000 BMW and trust these guy 100%. I walk in I get treated with respect, everything is very well explained and they are very cautious with my car....love this place!! They have one of the best welder s I have seen...flawless welds!!

I called to get an appointment for the paint on my Cadillac SRX to get fixed. The lady I spoke to was extremely rude and said she wouldn’t make me an appointment because, “It would cost more than my vehicle was worth”. I was nearly speechless. I definitely would Not recommend.

I took my car in to have work done on the motor they kept the car for over 2 weeks did not fix the problem and messed up the transmission when they pulled the motor .I would never give this place a thought.

Beware of the "Free State Inspection" Shady Mechanics, and Shady Business Practices. I took my truck that I rarely drive to get inspected. Emission was fine however during the state inspection they "found" something that they can fail me for. The technician thought he was talking to a idiot and tried to convince me that my tire had "excessive" movement and I needed a new tire rod and some other additional work. After he finished I informed them that I had all of that work performed the previous year. Took the my truck to Midas where I was going to get the work done the mechanic advised me that my truck in in good shape and the work Car X said I needed was a joke. After talking to Tim (manager) he was willing to have my car looked at again by a different technician. After taking off of work for a second time, they were still trying to convince me that I needed to spend $$$. Now if Midas was not willing to take my business (money) after their inspection why would I pay Car-X? They are true Scammers and try to take advantage of hardworking people. Get a second opinion before allowing them to perform work on your car....You might not need it! I will never set foot in a Car-x again!

Buyer stay away for new cars and trucks. The new truck we bought looked like it was ready for a good cleaning when it came back from the detail shop. The sales lady need to learn that a charge card cuts off at 100 dollars when filling up a truck. That means we didnt get a full tank of fuel like ford says you should. The owner didnt care so the best thing I can say it buy from any other dealer.
