American Car Center knows how to treat a lady!! 2 years ago I was in need of a car that I could depend on. After seeing a commerical on TV about American Car Center, I decided to stop in to the center on Covington Pike. There, I met a wonderful salesperson named Ben Stewart that made my purchase of a reliable car a pleasant experience from start to finish. Now, 2 years later I purchased my second car from Ben and again the experience was better than I remembered. I went in to see these guys (and gals) regarding a used vehicle I had purchased and they did a Fantastic job!!! You could not ask for more professional and friendly service that know EXACTLY what they are doing!! I would not take my car to anyone else!!!

I visited this establishment on 07/19/16 for issues with my TPMS light. My light had been on for 2 months and I informed the gentlemen at the front desk that I was having issues with the light remaining on despite continuous efforts at putting air in all four tires. He asked me which one it was and I informed him that I wasn't sure. There was instantly a look of discontent across his face. Now, mind you, the business states on it's website that they close at 6:00pm during the week. I got off work at 4:30pm and got there at 4:55pm, hoping to get my tires examined to see what the problem was. The maintenance shouldn't be very long for this type of problem, I thought, and they didn't appear busy at all. I was told to pull my car up to the second bay to have one of the mechanics look at my tires and all he did was put air in my tires. No time whatsoever was taken to actually see if I had a slow leak, nail, etc. I had already told them that putting air in my tires hadn't fixed the issue. They wanted to get me in and out because it was too close to closing time I assume. After the mechanic finished putting air in my tires, he told me that all my tires were sufficiently inflated except for the right rear which, before he put air in it, had a significant lower tire pressure than the rest. To me, that would signal that maybe you should actually EXAMINE the tire to find out why the pressure is so much lower than the rest of the tires. That action wasn't taken and I rode home with my issue unresolved. I then made an appointment for the next day to take my vehicle to a Honda dealership where they took the time to look at my tires and found a nail in my right rear tire! And guess what, the maintenance time didn't take long at all! I am thoroughly disgusted with Grimes on Hacks Cross and will never do business with them again. I will definitely recommend not to take your car here for any maintenance purposes.

WHEN JEFF AND POWER HOUSE MOTORS WORKED ON MY TRUCK TO REPLACE MY RADIATOR THEY WERE UNABLE TO RECONNECT THE LOWER TRANSMISSION LINE CORRECTLY SO THEY PUT A RUBBER HOSE IN LINE WHICH BALLOONED AND FAILED LOOSING ENOUGH OF MY FLUID TO BURN UP MY TRANSMISSION . THIS IS NOT THE ONLY WORK HE AND HIS SHOP DID TO MY TRUCK ON THE ONE AND ONLY TIME I USED HIS SERVICE .I SPENT $1900 WITH JEFF AND WISH I HAD NEVER MET HIM .IT IS MY OPINION THAT POWER HOUSE MOTORS ON HOLLYWOOD IN MEMPHIS TN NEEDS TO BE INVESTIGATED AND I WILL EXCERSISE MY RIGHTS AS A CONSUMER .

I took my crown Victoria here and it was the worst experience of my life. My car was stolen from the lot. The owner accused me of stealing my own car and after that he dodged my calls and my car was never paid for or recovered. It was a loss and at the time I didn't have the money or time to take him to court. I hope Karma takes care of him and his bad business practices

I went to this company bcuz it was referred by a friend. This company told me that they were good, christisn people and would do the job right. I was given a 1 year warranty on the work. Then 3 months later, a bombshell hit. My car went out of gear as I was cruising down parkway. I called they came and got it told me that they fixed the problem, and a week later same problem.sent it back to then another week, when it was returned it ran 4 days and I had to call again. After picking it up this time, it nade it home, I didnt drive for a few days due to fear, went to warm it up, and it wouldn't get out of park. They finally told me my pump was bad. I later found out that it should have been replaced or repaired during the rebuild. Not very Godly to me. I feel that Mr. Bill should have called me and told me that. Or let me know up front it was more work than he anticipated, and let ne decide if I wanted to pay more not do a shabby job, and then stop fixing it all together

I came in there June 26 to have my air fixed for the second time you kept the car until June 29th. I drove it home, I drove it Sunday July 2 first and last time since I brought it home been in bed sick. Someone called me tonight to tell me my back lights were on I drove around the block lights on back still so they have been on for six damn days. AND THE AIR IS NOT WORKING I PAID YOU CLOSE TO 1300 DOLLARS IN ALL AND YOU FREAKED UP MY CAR AND MADE IT WORSE AND STILL NO AIR. SOMEONE HAD BETTER CALL ME TOMORROW NO KIDDING IF I DO NOT HEAR FROM SOMEONE i AM GOING TO THE BBB YOU HAVE MESSED WITH THE CAR LONG ENOUGH TO HAVE ME NOW WITHOUT A CAR OR AIR NOT PLAYING IF YOU THINK I AM TRY ME.
