Of course as a first time car owner I was nervous about where to go and if I was going to be taken advantage of as a girl. I can 110% say Transmission Man took care of me like GOLD! They were more then professional, had a great staff and were very reasonable on pricing. Used to be our favorite most trusted mechanic, then we bought a car from them. Right from the start it was shady who the previous owner was, we never did get a straight answer. 1st week, car broke down on FDR, near end of 2nd month, it broke down in the Battery Tunnel. 4th month, brakes went out. Asked him to buy car back, he refused. It was then that we decided to take it to another mechanic (out of state so not his competition) where he pointed us to several websites that showed the problem we were having was common for that year/make/model and that lesser mechanics tend to avoid the repair in favor of cheaper tweaks, cheaper tweaks that put myself, my wife, and our infant in danger. J&E are unskilled mechanics at best and unethical business men at worst. I will not even purchase an air freshener from them on my firm belief that they willfully and knowingly put myself and my family in danger.
