I was referred to Mid Island Collision by Audi Lynbrook to fix a small dent that I sustained to the bottom of my Audi after accidentally driving over a sidewalk curb at 25mph. When I brought my vehicle to Geico for an estimate they quoted me price of $1900 and told me it can possible go up a little more with the supplemental quote from my repair shop which was Mid Island Collision. The supplemental quote from Mid Island Collision was $11,000 (5 times the original quote) for a total of $13750 to fix a very small dent under door and to paint the front bumper and replace the belly pan. I had serious reservations about this estimate and couldn’t believe my insurance company gave them the ok to charge that ridiculous amount. I even drove all the way down to Mid Island Collision to find out what they were charging me so much for. One of the workers told me all the work they were planning on doing (most of it completely unnecessary) with my car and temporarily sold me on keeping the car at Mid Island Collision. On my way home I taught about what the work said but didn’t see the value in them charging $13,750 to fix the frivolous damages to my car that was in excellent condition outside from the small dent under the car. On Monday January 19, 2015, after my visit to the shop on January 17, 2015 (repair wasn’t started when I was there and they are closed on Sunday), I called Mid Island Collision and spoke to a secretary telling her I wanted to pick up my car and go somewhere else for the repair. I was placed on hold for 5 minutes and then the manager Brian came on the phone and told me that they just started on my vehicle this morning. Although I didn’t believe that they started the car that day, I told Brian that I felt the price he was charging was unreasonable and that I expected my car to look Brand New when I receive it back. After having my car for 30days, I called Mid Island to find out what was taking so long. They communicated to me that the car would be ready within 48 hours. I was able to pick up the vehicle within the 48 hours on February 6th 2015. The Vehicle appeared to be in excellent condition (it was late at night so I could truly tell) until I took the car home and saw that the main damages where still not fixed. They used zip-ties to hold up the belly pan and there were still damages to the plastic lining under the car that they were supposed to fixes. I called Mid Island Collision the next day and told them about the incomplete job. They said that they were going to get back to me but never did. I called again during the week of February 9th and was promised that they were going to order the parts and give me a call when they parts came in but again they never got back to me. It is now March 20, 2015 and my car still isn’t complete. I am currently in the process of reporting them to all the relevant agency including Audi of America. Mid Island Collision is an Unscrupulous business and I wouldn’t recommend it to my worst enemy.

We have a 2011 Nissan that was acting funny. It wasnt shifting smoothly. We took it to a couple of local places but they told us that a dealer would be best because they had equipment to diagnose later model cars that were only available to dealers. I was really hesitant. We were new to the area and always stayed away from dealers because they usually charge more. We looked on line and found a local dealer, Baron Nissan, that had good reviews. None of those reviews were for service but what we could find said really good things about their sales department so we had the car towed there and crossed our fingers. We met Frank the service manager who was very nice. He asked what the car was doing and we told him/. We left it there overnight and he said he would call us the next day. He called about 11am on Friday and said the car was done. A little surpised that it was done so quickly I asked if they had found the problem. He said it was just a control module that had to be reset, no big deal. The way the other mechanics had made it sound we were braced for a huge repair bill. When we went to pick it up they told us that they had checked and our car was still under the Nissan powertrain warranty ( which we had no idea about) and the bill was nothing, no money at all. They told us they checked the car and we needed front brakes and an oil change ( which I knew). They gave me a fair price and we had them do the work. Frank didnt try to sell me anything I didnt need or want and they did the brakes and oil change while we waited. Has a chance to talk to Frank while we waited, he was just a nice guy who welcomed us to the neighborhood. We have bought a lot of cars in our life, definately not my first rodeo and I never,ever went back to a dealer for service as a rule they are too busy, pushy and over priced. I gotta say Frank at Baron Nissan is the exception. We are so glad we found them

My boss is very hands off when it comes to getting work done on his cars. A friend of my suggested to see TNS Auto Group, I had to do some homework on them before I went there and I did. This project required me to have a custom paint job, not just regular car, it was for my bosses Maybach. He wanted to have it painted white, because he grew tired of the original black color. I setup everything and we were able to get the car back really fast so there was not too much down time. These guys do such great work and they made me look great with the finished job that my boss seen. Fast, reliable and awesome finished outcome.

Do not use this shop for any reason!!!! Read the other reviews. There is a reason for the low ratings but even one star is far too high for this sham shop. I wish I had saved myself the headache of dealing with these scam artists by reading the reviews before using their services. The kleptomaniac employees stole multiple parts from the interior of my vehicle and caused further damage to the exterior of my car before I took it to another shop. An employee even stole the money that I left in the car and got aggressive and threatened to attack me when I asked him about it in a non confrontational way. Like, seriously?? I wish I was making this stuff up. The people working at this business are straight up thieves and should not be in business, literally the worst experience I have ever had with any business period. Funny how there are complaints ranging from their towing services, to their body work, to the way they conduct business in general. The complaints on this business are legit and are over the span of almost a decade. Listen to the warnings and stay far away!!

DO NOT got to GOLDEN TOUCH AUTO COLLISION located at 490 Ralph Ave. The charged me close to $4000 to fix my car and returned my car back with a bumper that was put together with glue, yes glue. My bumper looks like its about to fall off because it was incorrectly put in as well as other issues with my car. They also charged me money for a paint job and painted nothing. If you want to waste your money then be my guest but I do not advice anybody to go to GOLDEN TOUCH AUTO COLLISION. They say they've been in business since 1986 and have poor customer service.

Nicholas S 347-836-1574 - Logistics manager of this body shop had a customer car at his house in South Richmond Hill on June 20 at approximately 4:45 pm. His kid brother backed out of the driveway into my car while I passed by which caused damages to the right side of my car. The cops were summoned and statements were given. My insurance company made numerous attempts to contact this person with no success. Any assistance would be appreciated. Thank you!

I took my BMW to Gabriels Collision at 246 Franklin Street on May 21, 2012. Geico AutoExpress recommended this shop through my collision policy. In an attempt to repair the passenger side panel, gas cap and front, rear doors - Gabriels technicians failed to rewire my care correctly. Through their own incompetence, they tried to rewire the doors and now the rear view mirrors and the traction control is on the same wiring line. WHAT A DISASTER!!! I have no reliable traction control!! Unfortunately, Gabriel's Collision technicians damaged my car so badly that it negates my BMW DEALER WARRANTY. I doNOT recommend anyone with a high-end style vehicle to take your car to Gabriel Auto Body. In my opinion, the mechanics at Gabriel's lack the education and skills to fix high tech vehicles mechanically.
