Engine repair service near Lakeside City, TX

This company has been wonderful to me! They saved my bacon a couple times! Charles came out and help me the first time and discovered some major things wrong with a car I bought. I found out it was bad. I was able to turn it in and get another wonderful car. And Charles came out before I got the wonderful car and help me out again. The receptionists are great and friendly. This is a DISHONEST shop. I had a misfire on one cylinder and they gave me a false diagnosis of a failed open injector - $273 to replace. It seemed like a reasonable diagnosis at the time and since I was about 300 miles from home I authorized the work. A few hours later I picked up my truck; the misfire was fixed so I paid the bill. When I got home I immediately noticed that they replaced the ignition coil (a job that should have cost under $100) but never touched the injector. The business owner adamantly insisted they replaced the injector but it was obvious to me that they did not, and an independent Nissan dealer also confirmed in writing that the injector had not been replaced. I eventually got my money refunded by filing a dispute with my credit card company. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND LOOKING ELSEWHERE for vehicle service. There are plenty of honest shops out there, but this is certainly not one of them.

By far the best Automotive service on the West Side of Fort Worth. Honesty, Integrity and Friendly service are my requirements and Tilden Car Care Exceeds them all. Sometimes extremely busy so I suggest an Appointment. They do all my Tires replacements at a fair and competitive price. I won't go anywhere else anymore. Stevan Grimes

I took my car in to get realigned at about 8 am, and was told it would be about two hours. I was the first and only customer at the time. I came back around 11 am to see if it was almost finished, and they told me it was just getting taken into the bay after seeing another truck being pulled out. I finally get a call at 1:02 pm to let me know they have STARTED working on my car, but they needed to file something down on my car in order to realign it, and that it would be two hours of labor. I decide to just pick it up instead, and when I arrived they charged me $20 just to jack it up claiming they had done some work on it already, and, "their time is valuable." Apparently my time isn't, to them. They also let me know that if I wanted to bring it back to finish the job, it would be around $245... of course, they would knock off the $20 I had just paid. The mechanic tried to explain to me the work I was paying for, but was mostly incoherent and seemed to be drunk or smacked out. He also made my car stink like corse body odor, and tobacco. I do not recommend this establishment for, or to, anyone.

Joe performed diagnostic work on my 2003 VW Jetta. Identified multiple issues that other mechanics were unable to find and repaired those issues. Joe used the best value parts from a reputable source and charged very reasonable man hours. Great work!

Southwest Autowerks is the most honest, professional and reliable mechic shop in the DFW Metroppex. I highly recommend their services regardless the size of the job to anyone-especially BMW owners. They should be the first stop source for all mechanical needs but especially when you need a second opinion. I had my car towed in because it wouldn't start. They had me out the next day and worked with my warranty company.

Went in for a simple oil change. Waited for almost 2 hours and finally had enough and went out to see what the problem was and my truck was leaning off of the rack from being careless. Then after getting that straitened out I finally get ready to leave and realize my tires weren't even rotated. Horrible employees, sucky service, careless and unacceptable. I WONT BE BACK AND SUGGEST NO ONE ELSE GOES.
