I had a good experience here. This is the first time I took my car in for a repair in San Antonio. I called them for a quote, I was happy with the price (I had done my research), they ordered the part, we made the appointment and then I brought it in. They fixed it in the amount of time they said they would even though I showed up late, they charged me the price they quoted and they didn't bring any new problems to my attention. They also gave me $25 off because I signed up for the text message discounts. I haven't been getting any texts since then but I got and used that first one. I haven't smelled oil since that day. They also gave me a stamp card to earn a free oil change. I'm thoroughly happy.

I shopped several transmission repair shops and got many stories and prices without any of them really looking at my transmissions. Option Transmissions did a scan of the car with the snap-on modus scanner then they told me what was wrong and what it would take to fix it. I went here because my door latch was broken and my door wouldn't open. When I told the mechanic all he did was pull on the door and handle(which wouldn't open of course) and decided that the problem was the motor in the door. He charged me over $200 and made me wait for five hours before they finally called and said that it was the door latch and he needed another $100 dollars. We said forget it and when we picked it up they didn't even clean off the grease marks they made of over the inside of the doors and window. AND MY DOOR STILL DIDN'T OPEN! We called again to have them fix the botched job and they said they were going to charge $50 JUST TO OPEN THE DOOR TO LOOK AT IT! DO NOT go to this place unless you want to be ripped off by half-ass mechanics. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!

I took my car in a few months back to get the oil changed. Had a decent experience, it is close to my office so I was able to drop off my car and come back after work. I got the synthetic blend oil change for $20 and thought it was a great deal. I attempted to bring my car in again this morning and they told me that the $20 deal would not work for my car and I had to use the $50 full synthetic. I was extremely concerned because they either put the wrong oil in my car the first time or were trying to take advantage of me and get me to spend more money. Needless to say I did not leave my car there and will no longer use their services. The sad part is that it was the same service manager I dealt with the first time that told me the $20 deal would not work for my car. When I explained to him that I took it to him previously and was concerned that the wrong oil has been in my car for three months he shrugged his shoulders and said we will flush it out. It was absolutely ridiculous and I hope he does not feel that way with all services that they provide. Next time he may shrug his shoulders when they don't put the lug nuts on tight enough.

All I can say is what a rip off. They charged me an outrageous diagnostic fee, which they didn't deduct since I also had the repair done as well, then they waaaay over charged me for the part. They lied about only being able to find one available in San Antonio, when afterwords I called multiple auto parts who all had one in stock for 150.00 less than what Pat charged me at SX Callaghan. He told me he couldn't take the part back even though my son had one at Oreillys auto parts. The final bill for a 15 minute part install including their diagnostic fee....$510.00. What a bunch of crap.....Stay away from these rip off con artist, and their leader Pat.
