This is the first mechanic in more than a decade that I have found to be completely honest and reasonable. We have a Honda, a Ford and a Mitsubishi and all three cars are serviced by Paul and the mechanics. Such a nice, and honest service and dependable. Several times, Paul did not charge us to verify timing belts and some of the other "problems" other shops found. Once you experience their service you will never go anywhere else.

After calling all over the place, Universal Transmission was the only place that would clear and reset the codes on my wife's BMW After doing so, the guy helping me told me that cylinder 4 was misfiring and that it was probably the ignition coil. After I replaced it, the car worked perfect. I highly recommend UNIVERSAL TRANSMISSION. Thanks guys!!!..

Great people, good prices, quality workmanship

Went in for a M/T fluid change and they did a great job. My car felt like it was shifting better as soon as a left the parking lot. They have a nice waiting area with free wifi and coffee so hanging out for a little bit was pretty relaxing. I will definitely be a returning customer.

This shop is small, but they were very professional. I was told from the dealer i had several oil leaks and it would cost 2,300 dollars to fix my BMW. I heard about hi tech from a friend and they took care of me. They offered to clean off the oil first, and run the engine to verify if i had more than one leak. I didn't! It turns out i had one leak and they fixed it for less than half that. They were honest and up front about everything they told me. There are alot of rip off shops out there. **SORRY RAN OUT OF SPACE** .....and about 9 additional visits to the shop, I had to take keep taking my car back and each time they would say it’s a new issue, and charge me more MONEY!! The last time I took it there I said the EXACT “jumping” is still occurring from the very 1st time I brought it to you guys; I gave you guys so much MONEY and you haven’t repaired my car. I was treated with aggression and THREATS!! I am so upset and distraught about losing all my savings to these guys that just LIED, took my money and NEVER repaired my car. NOW I am out so much MONEY, PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THESE GUYS, THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY!! GOD BLESS!!

11-18 -19 My car over heated. Stan, who is a lair and a cheat, told me it was a thermostat. So I greed to have them fix it. Then Stan called claiming the water pump was bad and it is easier to replace the timing belt at this time so I agreed. While they changed the timing belt they mistimed the engine and destroyed it. They bought a replacement engine a “ salvaged” long block. No telling how many mile is on it! I asked that they put the parts I paid for on the salvaged engine. Almost ONE month later, 12-16-19 after repeated calls made by me I was able to pick up my car. I presented the rental car bill and Stan, who is a lair and a cheat said the owner will send me a check, but my car broke after 10 minutes of driving. They tried to claimed it was the exhaust not the engine but eventually cleared the problem. I asked Stan who is a lair and a cheat, if the new parts are on my car and he said no, but I’m going to warranty it for 3yrs 36k miles prorated. Next morning the engine light came on so I took it to the dealer it was there for 3 days while repairing the wiring and sensors that weren’t wired correctly and install missing bolts on the engine! To date my car has still overheated 2X I have exhaust fumes in the cab and most importantly I have not been reimbursed for the rental car and don’t have the parts I paid for.

This was a very unacceptable experience today, Sunday Dec. 15, 2013. My boyfriend dropped off his car here to get a brakejob, and someone took him home since it would be an all day job. The person told him he would pick him up when complete. I came by to simply get an oil change they said would take an hour. I searched for others on 1960, but there were none so I returned and was told 45 minutes this time. So I entered the waiting room and a fellow was talking on the phone at noon saying he'd been there since 9 for an oil change. I looked in the repair area and saw 2 teenage boys in their shorts and one slightly older guy in long pants being the only workers. I went to the desk and told them that after 45 mins. I would get my key and leave whether or not they had started. They completed mine but failed to turn off the maintenance reqd light. Later around 5:30, as I was going to my last tango practice of the year, my boyfriend called to come all the way to Cypress to pick him up since they never answered the phone to do so. About half way he called and said someone was on the way. Then called again saying he had to find a ride with a neighbor because no one showed after he waited for 30 mins outside his house in the cold weather. VERY unprofessional, not answering their workphone or following thru on the pickup. This ruined both our evenings!! Susan Young

Horrible Service. These boys don't know what there doing. DO NOT TAKE YOUR BUSINESS HERE. They took my money but did not provide the service stated on the invoice. Had to get new brakes and rotors within 3 months of them putting new brakes and Rotors on, really really!!! Better Business Bureau gives this Meineke location an "F" rating . Sad but true they are not to be trusted. This business is not BBB accredited.

Was sent to this shop by Discount Tires to repair a stud they broke on my van. This shop is horrible, they lack in Customer Service and gave me the run around and never fixed the van. Discount Tires was notifed and they are currently looking for a new vendor.

For two years, I had to take my car back 4 times after horrible noises kept coming back. They left the air filter out once, resulting in 50% higher gas consumption. The last time I took it in there, they gave me a complete lie about a problem, trying to scare business out of an ignorant woman. Worn shocks do NOT cause your brake pads to wear out quickly. I had a mechanic who actually knows how to do a brake job redo the work. He told me that a combination of cheap parts and a botched job were the reason why I continued to have God-Awful, train horn-like noises from my brakes. Taking my car to Just Brakes was a headache not worth any "value", and it just goes to show, you get what you pay for. Those "mechanics" knew less than me about cars. Pathetic.

I was never told that the tires were not balanced. Tires were mounted on the rims but never balanced. Not balancing the tires caused damage to the tires after I drove the RV on the highway . This caused an extremely harsh ride. Violet and heavy shaking. When I returned the RV to JV Houston Tires & Wheels I was informed they could not balance the wheels because they did not have the proper hubs for the tire balancing machine. I have attempted to have the tires balanced, at my expense to no avail. This has gone on for a year with no attempt to rectify the problem. Very hard person to deal with.

I just got back from buy two "very expensive" (per the employee helping me) batteries for my truck. Not only was the service slow - like ridiculously slow, but this employee continued to make comments about how expensive my vehicle was to operate and at one point was telling another customer how much my new tires would cost. Then for whatever reason they decide to give me a complentary wheel alignment test and as they guy is pulling my truck out he hits a piece of equipment with my side mirror. Thankfully there was no damage and I never did get my complementary test. Get your Die Hards at another location.
