The people were very friendly and helpful. I decided not to get some of the work done there as I found much cheaper options elsewhere, but that was my choice and not a problem with Nielson’s. My main frustration is that a day after I had my car looked at there (and had the problems they identified addressed by another cheaper garage), the car failed a safety inspection for three things that did not show up anywhere on their report: parking break not holding, and a front and rear marker light out. Those seem like very easy things to identify, especially the lights, so not sure why they were missed.

They have started to much overcharge for all services. Recently i had a oil change service and inspection and they changed cabin filter and charged ke $200. Even dealer would have done for much much less than them.

I visited IMA Motorwerke for a Prepurchase Vehicle Inspection. There were a bunch of fault codes that could not be figured out as well as a vibration for a previous inspection. While I did receive a report with comments and recommended work, it did not get to the heart of what I originally requested. When I asked and followed up, nothing additional was found. It was not until I took the vehicle for an inspection following vehicle purchase that I learned of a host of issues that were not previously identified. There was an exhaust leak, the vibration at the rear of the vehicle was a much larger issue requiring additional diagnosis, the headlight seals were busted, and the remaining fault codes rendered parts of the vehicle inoperable. Had I known the majority of these issues beforehand, I would not have purchased the vehicle. It is disappointing that I was charged $332.80 for the comments and recommendations that I received, and the saving grace for the issues that allowed me to get from under the purchase from another mechanic’s shop for free.

Superior has been my garage for over a decade based on a recommendation from another satisfied customer. Rob & Bob do a good job listening to the work I want done, describing the work they identify that needs to be done, and then completing the work on time. I recommend them to all my friends. LT is the best BMW (or any German car) repair shop around. He also works on Japanese brands, but do now know about them. He is honest, friendly and thorough and his prices are MORE than REASONABLE. Think in terms of a fraction of what dealers charge. He used to have a shop in Manassas, but now works from home and mobile. He provides a written estimate prior to any repairs and sticks to it - no ticket shock when you pick up your vehicle. In short, LT under-promises and over-delivers while being most pleasant to deal with. If you love your BMW as I do, you have rocks in your head if you trust it to anyone else.

This is one of my favorite places in Lake Ridge. Today Adam helped prove why. He repaired my hopeless WHEELBARROW TIRE in less than 20 minutes! I am back in home yard business and Lake Ridge Auto has come through once again!!! Love this place!!! Mary N. Occoquan, VA

I received a birthday coupon for a discount oil change, I went on a sat to get it done, they told me that they only do coupon M-F I made a appooinment for the following Tuesday 8:30am I showed up when they saw that I had a coupon on my hand they told me that they didnt have any appoinment under any name for that time, the guy behind the counter didnt even bother to look it up instead he searched on a scratch paper and said nope I dont have your name here, then he told me that they only accept coupons on Wednesday, I think they send coupons at home to try to get you to come in, and hopefully get you to paid full price by telling you they dont take coupons that day you are in.
