Ac and heating repair service near Sturtevant, WI

I brought in my 2003 Honda civic after experiencing a complete failure of my ignition column switch. I was quoted 600+ dollars to replace the switch. I thought this to be a bit "over the top" price as the national average repair price ranges from 300 to 500 dollars. Well it just happen to have been a Monday before Christmas eve and I needed to have the car back ASAP. Being the week of Christmas they were the only shop near by- that had time to take a look at my car and because the ignition key would no longer fit or turn - I had no choice to have it towed there. The honesty and integrity of this shop is called into serious question. I needed the car back ASAP so I gave the go ahead to replace the ignition switch. When the car was ready to be picked up- the price jumped to $870 and is too often the case excuses were made. The "car needed to be reprogrammed" after the installation of the new switch. Labor I was told was 1.5 hours. 1.5 hours of labor plus reprogramming=$870? I do not think so. . I am not a car mechanic but I have worked many years as maintenance technician so I am both technically and mechanically inclined. PLEASE DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE TO GRADYS AUTO AS THE PRICES ARE MORE OFTEN- than not very UNREASONABLE ALONG WITH WE ARE DOING YOU A "FAVOR" TYPE OF ATTITUDE FROM THERE MECHANICS.

Service as great. Done when said and less than expected....it was a BMW!

I stopped going there because the staff was not very customer friendly, especially the older women service helpper, she was very snippy and if you questioned anything in charges she would get very rude. I recently was in a bind for oil change and was pleased to see a new manager. He was very nice knew what he was talking about and showed me all of the reasons why I needed the items replaced on my car. I will most deffinatly be going back to the quick lube there! Awful place. I brought my car there because the front driver's side wheel was making a scraping sound. The owner Bill went on a ride with me so he could hear the sound, which he did and had an idea of what it could be. I brought the car back during my scheduled time, which after waiting for about 4 hours after I dropped it off that they can't figure out what is wrong with it, saying there seems to be nothing wrong with the "rear: tires. They spent 4 hours looking at the wrong end of the car. I told them and the owner knew that it was the front driver side. After 3 more hours after the phone call I go there to see what is going on to find my car outside, not even being looked at. And no phone call giving me any more information on it. The girl at the front desk said it "must be my brakes" and I should get a certain kind to fix the issues. The brakes are BRAND NEW CERAMIC BRAKES, not cheap metallic ones. It's not the brakes. Then she said it must be the rotors because they had some wear on them. Please you have no idea what it is and the owner decided to go home a few hours after they opened. Poor Communication. Lastly, I took my car home to find grease all over the driver side interior door and a large scratch right in the doorway (freshly scratched). The grease has been a pain to get off and the scratch is down to the metal. I have photos to post as well. POOR SERVICE.
