This place is simply awesome! I went there a little while ago to have multiple repairs done to my car. They gave me an estimate on what I NEEDED to get done then gave me an estimate on what HAD to be done because of my financial situation. I lost my job right after that and they let me pay and stored my car for 2 weeks while I paid them off. FREE OF CHARGE. Who does that anymore?!? These guys are great. Plain and simple

I'm relatively new in the area, and needed to find a reliable automotive repair and service shop to help me with numerous issues that have been creeping up with my car recently. I had been noticing some issues with my suspensions, alignment, and some strange things happening with my engine, and since I'm not an expert, I needed a shop that would provide honest, friendly, and courteous service and wouldn't try to take me (and my wallet) for a ride. I was pleased when I called Car Port Specialist on a whim and had a pleasant conversation with them over the phone. They were patient with me and didn't talk down to me or make me feel small for not knowing exactly what the problem was. I came in the same day and they did some diagnostic testing, and I didn't even have to pay from the estimate. For me, this was big; other shops I called had no patience for me being unsure about the exact nature of the problem, and would have charged a substantial amount for the estimate. In the end, I was expecting the repairs to be more expensive than they were. Ultimately the engine issue was minimal, and the prices for everything were extremely fair. We took our Honda in for service since it was acting like it had transmission problems. It would not start sometimes. It seemed like we were going to have major problems with the car. They recommended we do the 100k service, replace the broken engine mounts and a differential flush/oil change don't remember exact terms but wow when we picked it up it drove like a brand new car. No more vibration. Did not have to replace the transmission. He checked all the fluids. Did a completely evaluation of the car gave us a list of things that needed to be service and the cost in the order of importance. To top it all off he even lube the doors so that they closed really easy. Loved the service, the attention to detail and the price is very reasonable. Best mechanic I have ever had. I would highly recommend them. It is refreshing to find someone who is upfront and honest with you. They are more interested in having a long term relationship as your mechanic than taking advantage of you for a quick gain. I am very impressed. Eva W.

I don't even know where to start. OMG. I don't even know how these people are still in business if they are ripping people off like that or maybe it just happened to me because I am a female and they fully took advantage of me. Long story short, They charged me $700 to inspect my transmission because of a slipping problem with my 2000 Honda Accord (about 60,000 mileages). I figured that it should not cost anymore than $2000 because the dealership quoted the same job for my car for $2440. It turned out that I was so wrong. they asked me $2800. At that point I had no choice or else I would’ve been out of $700 just to take my car to another shop. After I argued that the price was too high, they had agreed to take only $270 off. Finally, I picked up the car late last Friday (4/5/2013), and one thing I’ve noticed on the receipt was the fact that they have charged me $1600 for Labor alone. Anyway, while I was driving home, I smelled and noticed smoke coming out from the hood of the car. I called them the next day(Saturday) to report the problem and they told me to bring it back by Monday. I failed to drive the car around that week end since I didn't want it to stuck with me. Late Monday after work, I dropped the car off and they claimed that it was too hot to check out. Tuesday 4/9/2013, I called them and they told me that the thermostat along with some seals were all messed up and there was no coolant in the radiator, and it would charge me $470 to fix it. Call me stupid but first of my car never had overheating problems before I dropped it off to ScamCo and second, I had service done on the car by Pepboys a week prior to dropping it off at ShameCo. You don't think Pepboys would've indicated that my car did not have any coolant or was overheated? Lastly, Why are you charging me $470 for a thermostat($25-$30) and some Seals ($2.85-$5/each)? I live in Clermont and needed my recently purchased 2007 GTI worked on so I called one of the local major dealerships and was told they did not work on Volkswagen. After asking for a recommendation I was told by the person on the other end of the line that in fact his really good friend owned his own repair shop and they worked exclusively on Volkswagens; the name of the company was called Jason's Bug Ranch. I tool the information and called to make an appointment; during that call they made the exception of accommodating me even though they usually don't do anything major on Saturdays. When I arrived there were Volkswagens everywhere and after speaking with Jason it was obvious he was an authority on the brand, how they operate, function and how they should be repaired. He shared with me that he does not believe in trying to scare customers into spending more on repairs than is necessary; he believes some repairs are more urgent than others and it's his job to educate his customers about the urgency or lack there of for each repair need and I find that refreshing. That approach significantly increases the chance that the customer will return to him when necessary because consumer trust is hard to earn. Jason spent 45 minutes working on my car and asked me to bring it back when he had more time to repair it correctly; he gave he an entire in depth diagnostic report of my car of which there were many and didn't charge me a dime; he trusted that I would return and I did. Jason and Nate know what they're talking about when it comes to VW and surprisingly very friendly and approachable. Since having my car repaired there it has been running like a champion especially considering the car has 204k miles; it runs like new, very strong, very fast! I will recommended Jason's Bug Ranch to anyone wanting to repair their Volkswagen.
