*the mechanic lies, and the store manager is very rude* I had a fuel filter replaced at Woodfield Schaumburg Firestone, and I asked the mechanic if he replaced the plastic clips that hold the lines in place. He said both clips were replaced with new clips. I got my car back and inspected it myself. One of the clips looked old. A couple days later I went to a different firestone and asked them to check it. They confirmed it was an old (original) clip, so they changed it for me real quick (nothing had to be taken apart, it was very easy). Everything was rechecked, and the car returned to me (no charge). I contacted the manager at the Schaumburg location to discuss my concerns about being lied to by his mechanic, and the manager became defensive and rude. I went to the Schaumburg store, and the manager would not even meet/talk with me. So I spoke to the only remaining mechanic at Schaumburg that I like/trust and explained everything to him... gave him the clip, and asked him to show it to the manager since he wouldn't talk to me. This whole experience was very upsetting. Me, my brother, parents, 1 neighbor, and any friends I referred to them in the past will not be going to the Schaumburg firestone anymore. All they had to do was tell me they reused a clip (not lie), or get a new clip (less than $1). They lost at least 5 customers for lying about a cheap plastic clip and of course the rude customer treatment. I was a customer for over 3 years. This was my 3rd and last bad experience with the Woodfield Schaumburg location. In my personal opinion, if you value your vehicle... do not go to this shop.

I highly recommend Steve and crew for repairing your Audi (and other makes). After a long search for repairing my car, Steve was very helpful over the phone without even seeing the car. He gave me an honest opinion and range or repair cost - again, without seeing the car. I brought it in and he repaired it and a couple other things he found that were related. When I came to pick the car up, he noticed another issue when pulling it up for me. He brought it right back in the garage and let me borrow his car while they made this additional repair. I was not charged for this, as Steve took responsibility for it. Honesty and fair pricing is difficult to find, especially with cars that are expensive to fix, and I'm thrilled I've landed at a place I can trust and use moving forward. We were on our way to Chicago earlier this week when we got stuck in a traffic jam. A woman working at a local restaurant noticed that our car was leaking oil. KAR service was close to the train station, so we brought it in and explained our situation. We were able to leave our vehicle with KAR; walk to the train station and go have our mini-vacation while KAR fixed our car up. The man we spoke with was polite and worked with our situation. When we got back from Chicago we simply walked back to KAR and picked up our vehicle. Great customer service that helped make the best of a bad situation.
