I have been going to Richlonn's (in Racine) for tires, brakes and service the last 15-years. I have always been pleased and satisfied as a customer. In fact, approx. 3-months ago, Mother needed tires (white whal) on '86 Cadillac and not having luck in finding what she wanted. I spoke to Brian V. (Store Manager) about the circumstances and then made an appointment for Mom to get tires. Mom is very satisfied with the new tires and 90,000 mile warranty. Also, no one came close to offering the lifetime rotation, price of installing, balancing and Computer check-up for alignment problem with Nitrogen air and extensions. I don't know why I chose Schaumburg Automedics to service my car when I first moved to Chicago 20+ years ago, but I am really glad I did. They have kept my various old cars running much longer than I would have expected. I was thinking about junking my car after this last service, but the SA Team did such a fantastic job the car drives better than when it was new (to me). I had several idiot lights on my dash and thought I had no ABS of VSA because the lights were on. The guys working on something else noticed some frayed wires along the firewall from some rodent or something. Now ALL the dashboard lights are off. They also fixed some extra things I didn't ask for and didn't notice till I got home. AAA Stands for quality service. AAA never hung a sign on a shop as good as Schaumburg Automedics. I’d been to this place before and they were professional and courteous, but the next time I sent my wife in for a diagnostic on her car, they never told her what it would cost. They made a few minor repairs without asking her or telling her they would perform them and then pulled a bait and switch by giving her an estimate for other ‘issues’ the diagnostic cost us $268 dollars. Im 44 and have had more cars than I could remember and Ive never been in any repair shop that cost nearly $300 just. To be told I need to spend another $1000 and no work done aside from a few clamps as I was told was done for free. This pandemic is making some small buisness forget their morals and tell wives that their blinker fluids needs to be changed all so they can make a few dollars

I was so lucky to have brought my car for service on Monday. I have had so many bad mechanics try to fix my car but Velasquez and Darwin FINALLY got to the root of the problem and fixed my check engine light that was on for months. Other mechanics claimed they fixed the check engine light problem but the didn't. It is NOT easy finding a good, honest mechanic these days. I know I finally found one and can confidentially bring my cars to Velasquez in the future. Darwin also changed the gaskets. I had paid a mechanic to change them a few months ago but apparently didn't. I actually paid to have the purge valve and gaskets changed but they never were. Darwin even showed me the defective parts. Thank you Darwin and Velasquez mechanic shop. Brian 2-9-22
