Transmission repair service near Azle, TX

Mike Mebane (big Mike) quoted me $2,303.39 to replace a brake actuater on an 08 S550. A few weeks later I had to return due to a squeaking noise coming from the rear wheel area. Mike said the bolt used in the repair was too long and it has been corrected. But now the car is leaning the passenger side air struts are now bad which will be an additional $2,438.58. During this process of driving my car from the rear of their business to front parking area, my fender weld was damaged cutting a groove around my passenger front tire and my car accumulated paint overspray from the paint and body shop next door. I asked Mike if I could get a wash, his response was their not a car wash ??. I expressed my experience in the form of a curtesy note left on the desk of the owner Josh on the day of pickup 06/30/22. Josh didn’t reach out until 07/11/22. The day of Josh reaching out I explained everything again. He basically said he wasn’t responsible for the overspray but if I send him the invoice for the purchase of my tire he will reimburse me. I had the tire replaced the day of our conversation sent Josh the invoice per request and followed up with a call to verify that the invoice was received. Josh (owner) hasn’t rectified the issue as of yet 07/18/22. It appears he doesn’t plan on doing right by me. There wasn’t anything wrong with my struts prior Sam & Joes correcting the bolt that was too long and my tires maybe had 250 miles on them. After that entire experience with Sam & Joes all I asked of Josh was to replace the tire. He Failed. My $2,303.39 visit cost me $5,023.85. Just heads up trying to cut cost at Sam & Joes may cost you more. Mr. Rivers

Your rating: Hated it Well I don't recomend anyony to get work done at springtown transmission. They rebuilt the transmission in my truck. After less than 5000 miles it went bad!!! Then would not fix it and wanted me to pay them to have it rebuilt again. So I had it towed to another transmission shop to have repair done. They are very shady and dont back their work!!! Now the transmission will have at least $5000 in it!!!!

By far the best Automotive service on the West Side of Fort Worth. Honesty, Integrity and Friendly service are my requirements and Tilden Car Care Exceeds them all. Do Not Go Here!!!! I went in after having my car diagnosed with the dealership and one other shop. I was just looking for an estimate as I was calling local shops. I needed an evaporator core for the air conditioner. Aamco would not give me an estimate. Said they had to see the car and that they had a special machine that could detect the coolant leak. I was desparate not to have to pay the $1500 the dealership wanted so agreed to let them look at it. They said it needed two new valves for $300. Great, Right! Yes, until the next day when there was no air conditioning again. I called them back and now they said it would cost as much as the dealership's discounted rate to fix the car but they would do me a favor and take a cut on labor to get it down to $975 for me. Wow, their cut was higher than any other local shop except the dealership. So now I have to pay to get the part fixed that I needed fixed and this shop scammed me out of an additional $300 on top of that. Do Not Go Here! They want to look like they are doing you a favor and saving you money but in the end they are going to get your money.

First off, let me give a thanks to Sabien and the rest of the staff at Standard Gear and Transmission! The service was awesome, and the results are incredible! Hopefully my experience will help others with the Cummins / G56 drivetrain. My throwout bearing was making noise for some time, and I continued to drive the truck, as it is my daily driver. Long story short, this destroyed my clutch fork, input shaft, and input bearing. I was on the fence for some time about doing away with the stock dual-mass flywheel and clutch. Sabien recommended a South Bend Clutch OFEK kit, and let me say, it is amazing! The engagement is similar to stock, but very positive. It does not grab, and shifts are silky smooth. The trans was refilled with 30 wt synchromesh, and it now runs smoother and quieter than I ever believed a G56 could. Pedal effort with the new hydraulics is so light that I nearly pushed the pedal through the floorboard when I started the truck for the first time. Gone are the truck's tendency to buck and jerk in reverse, and the noises from the factory clutch. I'm literally having to learn to drive the truck again, as it's manners and sounds are like new. My TL recently started having transmission problems, hanging up and slipping. Acura had a few issues with 2006 transmissions but based on my mileage the manufacture wouldn't honor any historical issues. The price of a transmission for an Acura would make you think it was a Mercedes! Transmission Headquarters was 40% less than the dealership and guaranteed the work. They got me the car back in about 3 days. It would have taken me that long to get the car to the dealer.

I had my car towed in because it wouldn't start. They had me out the next day and worked with my warranty company.

i brought car in to have transmission check he said it wasnt worth rebuilding and he would look around for a used one he called back next day said he located one it had 50000 miles on it 13oo.oo witch included new axles 6 months warranty i hadnt drove car much only 2200 miles sinced replaced 7 months it started acting up called steve and he said nothing could be done it only had 6 month warranty you would think a 50000 mile transmission would do better than that not very good service not recommended

My grand daughter who is traveling from ElPaso to Florida blew her engine and my husband went and towed her here to get it fixed. The staff have been nothing but rude to her and have not tried to get her vehicle fixed in a timely manner. I would NOT recommend this shop to anyone! She has been stuck without a way to get home to Florida for almost a week! This has cost her a job and extreme emotional distress!!!!!!
