Ok.. check this out.. went to this place to get an inspection, they did have the official sticker. When i arrived there I parked in front of a office building that had 6 other spaces so i wasnt parking in nobodys way. The manager at tune up plus told me i had to move my vehicle because i was in someones spot. ok there are 6 other spaces and the one i was parked in was not marked and no signs saying that it was a private spot. Ok then after going thru all that i finally went in to get an inspection. However they told me that i couldnt get a inspection because i didnt have a texas licsence, Well thats not true.. After going back up to DPS and standing in line for an hour, I discovered that Tune up plus was feeding me a bunch of bull.. They were just too busy or maybe they just didnt want to do it. Well, i should have expected that from tune up plus. Unprofessional rednecks with wrenches.

My family and I have used low cost automotive service for years and it found them to be fair market value priced and extremely honest. They're diagnostics have been spot on, in one event they missed the diagnosis made a repair but then make good on the repair with the correct diagnosis at no cost to me. I've had an alternator replaced on a 2007 vehicle unfortunately I've gotten manufactured defects on an alternator two times back to back and low cost automotive not only that the manufacturer to warranty the alternator but to my surprise and delight low cost automotive stood good on the warranty in regards to the labor. Great people, good prices, quality workmanship

This shop is small, but they were very professional. I was told from the dealer i had several oil leaks and it would cost 2,300 dollars to fix my BMW. I heard about hi tech from a friend and they took care of me. They offered to clean off the oil first, and run the engine to verify if i had more than one leak. I didn't! It turns out i had one leak and they fixed it for less than half that. They were honest and up front about everything they told me. There are alot of rip off shops out there. **SORRY RAN OUT OF SPACE** .....and about 9 additional visits to the shop, I had to take keep taking my car back and each time they would say it’s a new issue, and charge me more MONEY!! The last time I took it there I said the EXACT “jumping” is still occurring from the very 1st time I brought it to you guys; I gave you guys so much MONEY and you haven’t repaired my car. I was treated with aggression and THREATS!! I am so upset and distraught about losing all my savings to these guys that just LIED, took my money and NEVER repaired my car. NOW I am out so much MONEY, PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THESE GUYS, THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY!! GOD BLESS!!

For two years, I had to take my car back 4 times after horrible noises kept coming back. They left the air filter out once, resulting in 50% higher gas consumption. The last time I took it in there, they gave me a complete lie about a problem, trying to scare business out of an ignorant woman. Worn shocks do NOT cause your brake pads to wear out quickly. I had a mechanic who actually knows how to do a brake job redo the work. He told me that a combination of cheap parts and a botched job were the reason why I continued to have God-Awful, train horn-like noises from my brakes. Taking my car to Just Brakes was a headache not worth any "value", and it just goes to show, you get what you pay for. Those "mechanics" knew less than me about cars. Pathetic.

Was sent to this shop by Discount Tires to repair a stud they broke on my van. This shop is horrible, they lack in Customer Service and gave me the run around and never fixed the van. Discount Tires was notifed and they are currently looking for a new vendor.

Horrible Service. These boys don't know what there doing. DO NOT TAKE YOUR BUSINESS HERE. They took my money but did not provide the service stated on the invoice. Had to get new brakes and rotors within 3 months of them putting new brakes and Rotors on, really really!!! Better Business Bureau gives this Meineke location an "F" rating . Sad but true they are not to be trusted. This business is not BBB accredited.

11-18 -19 My car over heated. Stan, who is a lair and a cheat, told me it was a thermostat. So I greed to have them fix it. Then Stan called claiming the water pump was bad and it is easier to replace the timing belt at this time so I agreed. While they changed the timing belt they mistimed the engine and destroyed it. They bought a replacement engine a “ salvaged” long block. No telling how many mile is on it! I asked that they put the parts I paid for on the salvaged engine. Almost ONE month later, 12-16-19 after repeated calls made by me I was able to pick up my car. I presented the rental car bill and Stan, who is a lair and a cheat said the owner will send me a check, but my car broke after 10 minutes of driving. They tried to claimed it was the exhaust not the engine but eventually cleared the problem. I asked Stan who is a lair and a cheat, if the new parts are on my car and he said no, but I’m going to warranty it for 3yrs 36k miles prorated. Next morning the engine light came on so I took it to the dealer it was there for 3 days while repairing the wiring and sensors that weren’t wired correctly and install missing bolts on the engine! To date my car has still overheated 2X I have exhaust fumes in the cab and most importantly I have not been reimbursed for the rental car and don’t have the parts I paid for.

I've been going to this mechanic for a long time, I had paid for a brand new compressor for $1000. He installed a rebuilt one and lied to me. I went back to complain and to get the new one installed and he charged me labor to install it. The compressor is still having problems and he still charges me labor. I dont think its fair for me to keep paying labor when he is dishonest and should've done the right thing in the first place, I dont think we would've had this problem if he was to be honest.

This was a very unacceptable experience today, Sunday Dec. 15, 2013. My boyfriend dropped off his car here to get a brakejob, and someone took him home since it would be an all day job. The person told him he would pick him up when complete. I came by to simply get an oil change they said would take an hour. I searched for others on 1960, but there were none so I returned and was told 45 minutes this time. So I entered the waiting room and a fellow was talking on the phone at noon saying he'd been there since 9 for an oil change. I looked in the repair area and saw 2 teenage boys in their shorts and one slightly older guy in long pants being the only workers. I went to the desk and told them that after 45 mins. I would get my key and leave whether or not they had started. They completed mine but failed to turn off the maintenance reqd light. Later around 5:30, as I was going to my last tango practice of the year, my boyfriend called to come all the way to Cypress to pick him up since they never answered the phone to do so. About half way he called and said someone was on the way. Then called again saying he had to find a ride with a neighbor because no one showed after he waited for 30 mins outside his house in the cold weather. VERY unprofessional, not answering their workphone or following thru on the pickup. This ruined both our evenings!! Susan Young
