Brake repair service near Plano, TX

Service met my expectations. I was satisfied with the experience of the service personnel. Leaders, Doni and Jason, were excellent in explaining the pathway they were going to use to get Mercedes E350 repaired. I would not hesitate to use their services again.

I wanted to wait a bit before posting a review just to be positive I was as pleased with the work as I initially thought, and by golly, I am! Due to Covid restrictions (I guess) my regular repair shop has been closed, and my car was making scary awful noises as I drove (never a good feeling). Car repairs are never easy for a single gal that knows absolutely zero about cars, especially when looking for a new mechanic (get ripped off much)! Anyway, I was given a recommendation by someone I barely knew to go to Jerry at Christian's Auto Repair, and man oh man, am I thrilled I acted on the recommendation! My car is older (2008), and it is driving like a brand new vehicle. I look down and I am going 85 mph (I never normally speed in my "beater" car), and the ride is as smooth and quiet as a new car! Thoroughly pleased with the kindness and professionalism I received at Christians on Dallas Road in Grapevine, and I will be return there going forward for maintenance and repairs. This company has been wonderful to me! They saved my bacon a couple times! Charles came out and help me the first time and discovered some major things wrong with a car I bought. I found out it was bad. I was able to turn it in and get another wonderful car. And Charles came out before I got the wonderful car and help me out again. The receptionists are great and friendly. All of my issues are ongoing. None of them are ever fixed. I have to continue to bring vehicle back for same issue or for “new” issue that supposedly occurred out of the blue but in truth are by products of tech mistakes.

Bob Parra runs a well-managed and professional auto service. We have used them for years and each time they have performed beyond our expectations. From the time you come in to the time you pick up your vehicle, the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. They explain things at a level I can understand. They do not pressure us. They explain the facts and help us determine the best solution and timeline. Each time we bring in our vehicle, they give it a good inspection so we know we are driving a safe vehicle. It used to be hard to find a good car repair shop. I don't know if that is true for today because we have gone to Parra Car Care for so long. If you are looking for a top-notch shop that respects it's customers and tries very hard to please them then this is one of the best. They are great mechanics!

This is a DISHONEST shop. I had a misfire on one cylinder and they gave me a false diagnosis of a failed open injector - $273 to replace. It seemed like a reasonable diagnosis at the time and since I was about 300 miles from home I authorized the work. A few hours later I picked up my truck; the misfire was fixed so I paid the bill. When I got home I immediately noticed that they replaced the ignition coil (a job that should have cost under $100) but never touched the injector. The business owner adamantly insisted they replaced the injector but it was obvious to me that they did not, and an independent Nissan dealer also confirmed in writing that the injector had not been replaced. I eventually got my money refunded by filing a dispute with my credit card company. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND LOOKING ELSEWHERE for vehicle service. There are plenty of honest shops out there, but this is certainly not one of them.

The work performed was satisfactory, owner/mechanic is obviously knowledgeable and has been in business for many years. Like most auto repair shops, they so often fail to show their cost of parts plus the mark up, which can be significant depending on brand and who the wholesaler is. In most cases auto repair shops will buy after market products instead of OEM, which allows them to mark up the parts a 100 to 150 percent plus labor. This lack of transparency can cost the customer a good deal of money over an above what is considered reasonable. First consult a auto parts store for pricing on parts needed, you'll find that the retail pricing will be less than what your paying the auto repair shop. In most cases auto repair labor charges will exceed the cost of parts by 70 to 300 percent, a wide disparity indeed.

I was a customer for a very long time until You started using predatory practices. I’m out . I noticed other people doing the same thing . It’s a shame .You had such a good rep and well now you just don’t.

Top notch organization. I recently purchased a used Volvo and I needed a mechanic shop that I could trust. I made several requests to about 10 different shops and this was the only one that responded in a timely manner and with a professionally written quote and a phone call. This was also the farthest from my home than the others I had send inquiries to. So based on the quick professional response and a couple of phone conversations that impressed me, I chose European Auto Tech. Arthur and Caesar were friendly, efficient, knowledgeable and even had my car ready the next morning. Originally they said they may have it for a couple of days, so they were actually ahead of schedule. They did find a few things that needed immediate attention and they called me to see if I wanted to proceed and didn't add any extra labor charges onto the bill. They were more than fair on the pricing. All the way around, this was a great experience. Suzy Mullins

It's not really that parts for an old E-55 AMG only come from Germany and are obviously gold plated. Everything else would be a 6 Star if it was a available.

I was really hoping to find a great honest mechanic in the area and thought Mastertech would be that place. But we took our Mini Cooper in to get an inspection done and for some reason, on that day, the service engine light was on. Therefore, they couldn't inspect it. We paid for a diagnostic test to be done so we could get the work required done to pass inspection. We were told that the part would need to be ordered and it would take about 2 days to come in and it would take 1/2-1 hour for the service. I was quoted a price over the phone for the repair. He told me that Mini did not carry the small part that was needed and that he was going to have to get it from another auto parts store and go pick it up. He said that Mini only sells the entire assembly which would be much more expensive. But over a week went by without a phone call to tell us the part had arrived. So we called on a Wednesday and they said they would call back. Never did. We called the following Friday and they said they would call back. Never did. So we called the following day, Saturday, and we were told that the tech guy who quoted me the service was now in the hospital and that they couldn't do the repair because they don't know the exact part to get. They referred me to Mini and to get a rental from them, which is now going to cost me major $$. Remember...the tech guy told me that Mini does not sell just the small part needed (only the entire assembly). Not to mention that Mini (the dealer) charges 300% on their parts and labor. Chris, the one I spoke to on Friday and Saturday, seemed to not know anything. He just told me to take it to the dealer. If I would've known they wouldn't do the repair, I would've had the diagnostic test done elsewhere (somewhere that could). Because now, I am out that diagnostic fee and it cannot be applied to my repair as they promised. I feel terrible that the tech guy is in the hospital, but it shouldn't be that difficult to know which "pigtail" to use in our car when they have all my auto information on file (make, model, VIN, etc.). VERY UPSET AND DISAPPOINTED!!

12/2/12 "service date"- Rude customer service. Kevin helped me when I walked in to get a diagnostic code on my car and said I would have to wait since there were customers behind me which was fine. The thing that bothered me was that we he told me that he answered the phone and took the call and left me standing there. Didnt even offer to try and get someone else to help me or get another associate to take the call so that I would be helped. I had enough, went over to Auto Zone, I got my code in 5 mins and was very helpful.

Dropped off my car for a wheel alignment being told to pick up after 45 minutes. After coming back right at the 45 minute window, come to find out, no one was working on the car. Manager on Duty gave lame excuses like its been too hot this evening, etc. Nevertheless, car gets on the alignment rack and 15 minutes later was ready for me. Manager on duty, put paperwork in NTB envelop without explanation of what work was done. I open the envelop to read the alignment report, to find that the alignment was out of spec and for the most part had not changed from what was before. Upon questioning, Manger on duty says that his alignment techs had left for the day and as such had to put a general mechanic to work on the alignment. What's more that the tech did not have the right tools to do an alignment.Apparently the alignment techs have their personal tools and NTB does not provide them the necessary tools. Seemed very rubbish to me. Looks like I just pissed off 90 minutes of my life with the alignment being just as was before. I am mad about the fact that when the car was signed in for alignment, no one in the shop mentioned that they will not have the right guys working on it nor that they did not have the tools. This seems very deceitful to me. These guys just lost a customer & I sincerely hope that they loose more !!! Very Irate customer ...
