Rental vehicles? Hah, laugh that good bye. They do not cover rental vehicles on warranty work. WORK THAT THEY MESSED UP ON. Sure as hell doesn't make a single ounce of sense to me, coming from a customer who paid for a FULL REBUILD and has already spent a good looking penny on everything. **Stay away from this place. FAR, FAR, AWAY.** That's my warning to you. P.S. They've changed management about four times in the past 6 months. That should've been a major hint to get the hell out of there when I had the chance.

Jerry, Dale Ann and their grandson Treylor do a great job of taking care of you! Gave me a ride to work in their own personal vehicle! Really shows how much they care! Haven't had a problem with my vehicle since. Great company with prices that cant be beat!

After exhausting our local options we put the discovery 1 on a trailer and took it here. Most reviews were good so we thought we were lucky to find one only 5 hours away. We were mistaken. Maybe for maintenance work they would be ok, but to actually diagnose and fix the problem, I would never recommend them. The first time they had it for 2 weeks and $1100 later we had a tuneup, an ignition coil, new ground wire and spark plugs.... and a vehicle that still couldn't make it out of the parking lot. So keys in overnight slot again and it stayed for another 2 weeks. Both times my husband was told it was running well and they had been driving it around. Amazingly after one month and all the "driving" they did, we had 2 miles put on the truck and it still wouldn't get out of the parking lot. All of the things we had already replaced they replaced again... (ignition coil, oxygen sensor...) and wanted to keep it longer since they thought it was the mass air flow (had 2 sitting in the truck since we already went that route) and kept telling my husband the catalytic converters were blocked (3 months old... and would blow leaves across a parking lot). 2 days after trailering it home (another 5 hour trip there and 5 hours back) my husband talked online to a landrover owner who had similar issues. After checking the crankshaft sensor (as suggested) he discovered the 2 wires to/from the sensor were melted together. After fixing that problem it still "missed". So he went to look at the crank position ring and discovered a tine bent over. Because of this the sensor couldn't see it and was missing. After gently bumping the tine back up into place the sensor saw it and the missing stopped. It is running smoothly and perfectly. Now he just has to figure out why, after they rewired it, the front windows wont roll up or down, and the front sunroof won't either. I am not saying these people didnt want to fix it, I am saying that they should admit when they don't know and quit being parts replacers instead of mechanics. Also their master mechanic never seemed to be around, which makes me wonder if he was would it actually have gotten fixed. If you need a tune up, then this really doesn't apply to you but if you need a problem diagnosed you might want to think before sending it here. $2000 later and still not running any different when you pick it up, you have to ask if it is really worth it.

Stay away from Antoine location in Houston, Texas!!!!! They had my daughters car for 13 weeks! They made her prepay to take the car. It was a run around for 13 weeks. Lie after lie after lie. Today we sat in the shop for 4 hrs. We were not leaving until we got the car. We were not the only hot customers demanding their car either. One was an HPD officer. They are also operating under 2 names. They owners phone was not working. I have never experienced liars like this group. It is a family run business. Father, son and his wife. Con artist. They use a cell phone, no business line in the place. The son was dropping F bombs at me! They do not have any capital to buy parts or basics. We had to go out to buy their parts. They collected her money in advance too. I rate them an F-! Next morning car not running! She has given them $2500.00!!

when I asked the price of a transmission rebuilt, they wouldn't give it to me. so I went to another transmission place and they told me how much it would cost, they said about $900 dollars but, since the AAMCO shop was closer to where I lived, I foolishly let them rebuilt my transmission, thinking it would be about a $1,000 dollars. lo and behold, the price they charge me was over $2000 dollars. no wonder the manager refused to give me the cost of a transmission rebuilt in advance. plus, it took longer to rebuild than what they promised. don't go here for your transmission needs. you'll get overcharge.

Came in for transmission service January 2017 and was told it would cost $600 to look at the transmission. I paid cash, got a hand written receipt, and I told Daniel (manager) to call me with an estimate. He calls me for with the initial estimate of $5000 less the $600 so $4400. I told him to wait for repair so I can talk to my wife, and that I’ll call him the next day. I called him the next day, and he said he’s completed repair of the car. I told him I did not agree to start, so he starts lowering the price to $3200. When I go pickup the car the next day, he tells me one of his porters got into an accident with my car (they said it was the other driver’s fault, which other driver said he was the porter’s fault). Long story short, I ask for owner’s contact info and he says it's private. I contacted him 17 times to get my car fixed (January to end of March). Car was left at the shop for over 1.5 months (tires went low). After which I took the car home and also inspected the transmission and found out the transmission dust cover was missing. I came back immediately and Daniel said he would not install the dust cover & claims it was missing before the repair which he also admitted that he would contact me if anything was out of the ordinary during the repair. After 3 months, Universal finally fixed my car due to the collision but with a very bad paint job/bondo work and missing/broken parts which I had to go back/forth to get fixed. Buyer beware of always negotiable transmission prices and no dust cover being re-installed. If they get into a collision with a customer vehicle, they never gave me their owner’s contact information and their shop insurance to make a claim after repeated requests, so I doubt they are insured. It’s also interesting that my $600 initial cash deposit is not included on my final receipt (only the $3200).

My vehicle had misfire code, I took it in they repaired it and it was fine for a while but then I had the same issue just over a week ago I took it back they said it was a faulty coil. They warranted the work but, the check engine light is on again and it’s the same issue!!! This place was recommended to me so that’s why I went but I live about 45 min away and I’m afraid my vehicle will not make it.

My experience started plesant. They picked up the vehicle and repaired it in an orderly fashion but quoted one price on friday and Monday quote 500.00 more. said that they had to do something extra. I was trying to give another mechanic a try but I will stick to my regular. He is slower but his price is always the same.

I used this shop to repair my transmission, referred by a friend. That was a year ago. My transmission was leaking fluid so I took it in on Saturday and left it there....I had not heard anything on Monday so I call on Tuesday afternoon and was told that the transmission seals were leaking due to my rack and pinion having a leak also. The transmission repair was covered under warranty and the owner offered to repair the rack and pinion for $297.00. I said yes to the repair but 10 minutes later I reconsidered and explicitly told her not to make the repair at all. I picked up my van on Thursday and I am told that I owe for the rack and pinion repair which I did not authorize! Keep in mind I only speak to the owner over the phone and deal with a mechanic when I go into the shop. The repair was done on Wednesday and the owner seemed unaware that the repair had been made until I go in on Thursday. Long story short I was treated as if I had done something wrong when I asked if I could pay for the repair in two payments..she wanted me to pay for an unathorized repair of $297 in 10 days. I think this was a scam to get some kind of money from me since they couldn't charge me for the transmission repair.

After my experience with them I can not recommend this shop to anyone. warranty is a fraud, newspaper ad is bogus- very rude unprofessional and manipulative. Once you agree on a set price you get there find out almost double price. they never mention on the phone they accept "cash only" that's a red flag. don't sign anything before you very carefully read. example: warranty states that if repairs needed you must pay 150.00 just for him to honor warranty...total fraud. save your money avoid like the plague.

I really wish someone would close these jerks down. SCAMMERS CON-ARTS, CROOKS, SWINDLERS. In-human idiots that lie lie lie and steal your money. They fix nothing. I brought my car there and paid an arm and leg for them to fix my car and nothing but made it worse. Anyone that reads these reviews and brings there car to them Please call the police immediately. IMMEDIATELY. I wish the police would pay attention to these reviews, go there and shut them down and arrest these thief's. They have a post on Craig's list so beware. Oh that review that someone said their $600 dollar radio was stolen. It wasn't stolen they so called mechanics stole it and lied.

Warning these are scam artist and run a fraudlent credit card charge theft ring look on BBB site. file claims with att WARNING DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE ! A $1385.00 special is advertised worst case senario for transmission rebuild on google for this place, they get you in ask for the deposit $1385.00 to start and then after they start working on it, they call you back two day's later for another $1800.00, so then the job will be $3,185.00. lesson learned never make a deposit to start work, call around and find a shop that will be honest they will tear down a transmission for about $300.00 and tell you exactly whats wrong before they start so you can decide if it is really worth fixing, also checkout BBB site, and google the managers name Steven Hoffman has been involved in several lawsuits involving transmissions from chicago to las vegas and if you want to sue this guy his business is in houston but you must file in Dallas tx court. orney general.

**SORRY RAN OUT OF SPACE** .....and about 9 additional visits to the shop, I had to take keep taking my car back and each time they would say it’s a new issue, and charge me more MONEY!! The last time I took it there I said the EXACT “jumping” is still occurring from the very 1st time I brought it to you guys; I gave you guys so much MONEY and you haven’t repaired my car. I was treated with aggression and THREATS!! I am so upset and distraught about losing all my savings to these guys that just LIED, took my money and NEVER repaired my car. NOW I am out so much MONEY, PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THESE GUYS, THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY!! GOD BLESS!!

I had my vehicle towed to this location after speaking with KIRBY about a free diagnosic as my vehicle had some power steering issues. I later in the evening needed to retrieve items from my car and wanted to take my keys but was told I would not be able to do so, in fact at this time the employee begins being rude and nasty to which he was overheard and corrected by another employee. The owner was very polite and called immediately to apologize which was greatly appreciate but I decided still the car needed a 2nd opinion. The same guy who was nasty to me is the same person giving me a $2900 quote. Next morning the car was towed again to another company. When I retrieved my vehicle I notice the door handle is broken. Of course I blame the company who repaired my car but thats when they explained due to insurance purposes they take pictures of how all cars arrive and the car arrived in with my handle broken. I then track down the 2 towing companies who had bil of laden which shows any damage. Ultimately after investigating it is DEFINITELY an issue with this company. Kirby destroyed my door.

Was sent to this shop by Discount Tires to repair a stud they broke on my van. This shop is horrible, they lack in Customer Service and gave me the run around and never fixed the van. Discount Tires was notifed and they are currently looking for a new vendor.

Went in for a transmission service & less than 24 hours my car wouldn't go in R or D. Now, im told that I might hve to pay out of pocket.

11-18 -19 My car over heated. Stan, who is a lair and a cheat, told me it was a thermostat. So I greed to have them fix it. Then Stan called claiming the water pump was bad and it is easier to replace the timing belt at this time so I agreed. While they changed the timing belt they mistimed the engine and destroyed it. They bought a replacement engine a “ salvaged” long block. No telling how many mile is on it! I asked that they put the parts I paid for on the salvaged engine. Almost ONE month later, 12-16-19 after repeated calls made by me I was able to pick up my car. I presented the rental car bill and Stan, who is a lair and a cheat said the owner will send me a check, but my car broke after 10 minutes of driving. They tried to claimed it was the exhaust not the engine but eventually cleared the problem. I asked Stan who is a lair and a cheat, if the new parts are on my car and he said no, but I’m going to warranty it for 3yrs 36k miles prorated. Next morning the engine light came on so I took it to the dealer it was there for 3 days while repairing the wiring and sensors that weren’t wired correctly and install missing bolts on the engine! To date my car has still overheated 2X I have exhaust fumes in the cab and most importantly I have not been reimbursed for the rental car and don’t have the parts I paid for.

A part was ordered from this place with the vehicle registration papers. Gaberial and his friends at Garry's auto parts are so unprofessional and lies. Not only did they steel almost $700.00 for a part on a car, but they purposely ordered the wrong part, despite being given they correct information and they intellectually lied and forged signature saying that we ordered the wrong part. We tried calling and even reasoning with them. Gaberial told us a bunch of lies just to keep his commission for the services which he and Garry's Auto parts intentionally did. They like to scam and steal money. The sad thing is they've had their part untouched and unused and they still kept our money as paid out customers. Gaberial tried to hang up on us and almost cursed us out for calling him. He lies and say they have a manager who is never in. He is always out and he is never available. If you have an issues, you can not call them or count on them. We even called other people on his team who lied and said He's not in, and they would put us on hold for 40 minutes to an hour, then they would act like they could not understand anything, and from there we had to call from a different number and when we did he was steel trying to dodge us about the part and the money. we even tried to work with them by asking them to find another part for the car in exchange. they never did it, they would laugh, and lie and act like they did not understand and was unconcern and would even make fun of our situation and say, well you told us this, when we in fact told them nothing, but gave them the documents for the vehicle....They all Thieves and Lairs and they pretend to car , when in fact they don't! They are beyond a mess.

I took my car to this guys shop to get some fuel injectors installed and when i went back the owner told me my engine had locked up. now im not a person that a little or a lot about car but this sounded absolutely rediculous to. i mean i drove my car up there and now i cant drive it out.

I was baited in with a low price and promises of quick service. Once they had me by the cojones and had gutted my transmission, they changed the terms of our verbal and written agreement and proceeded to charge me three times more. They dented and scratched my car and acted as angry children when I had my car removed from them. I had to pay another shop to finally fix the problem. My experience with the other shop wasn't a great improvement either, but Rene's Transmissions is in a class of their own as far as being an all around sham and scam of an operation. If you value your hard-earned money stay away from them.

I CAME BACK AND THEY HAD TAKEN MY TRANS OUT AND TORE IT APART. I TOLD HIM TO PUT IT BACK TOGETHER I DID NOT AUTHORIZE OR REQUEST THIS! HE SAID THEY COULD NOT PUT BACK LIKE IT WAS CERTAIN THINGS WERE DAMAGED (DURING PULLING IT APART I'M SURE). AND IF THEY DID IT PROBABLY WOULD NOT BE THE SAME AS WHEN I BROUGHT IT IN. BOTTOM LINE I WAS FORCED TO PAY FOR A REPAIR OF NEARLY THREE THOUSAND DOLLARS, THE CAR ONLY COST FORTY EIGHT HUNDRED. BY THE WAY THE PART ONLY COST ABOUT FIFTY DOLLARS. I COULD HAVE A YOUTUBE VEDIO AND REPLACED IT MY SELF OR JUST BOUGHT A USED TRANS FOR THREE TO SIX HUNDRED AND PAID TWO OR THREE HUNDRED TO PUT IT IN. THE OWNER DID NOT KNOW OF DAVES (MANAGER) TACTICS I'M SURE. I'VE HAD WORK DONE HERE BEFORE DAVE WAS HIRED. I COULD HAVE TAKEN LEGAL STEPS, BUT FOR OLD FRIENDSHIP SAKE, I DID NOT. THIS IS NOT TO GET EVEN BUT TO INFORM THE UNSUPECTING, ALL TRUSTING, NIEVE, AND GOLABLE PERSONS LIKE I WAS. GET THE FACTS BEFORE LEAVIN. NOT A VAGE PHONE CALL AUTHORING SOME TYPE OF WORK. BY THE WAY SCREWS MISSING, HARNESS LOSE, POPING SOUND WHEN TURNING STEERING WHEN OH AND WORST OF ALL A WHINNING SOUND, LIKE YOU HEAR FROM A CAR WHOSE TRANS IS ABOUT TO "GO OUT". IN OTHER WORDS TRANS REPAIRED WITH AFTER MARKET PARTS NOT DEALER PARTS. LAST BUT NOT LEAST, I HAVE TO HAVE THE FRONT END REALIGNED TO STRAGHTEN OUT MY STEERING WHEEL. I HAVE MORE BUT I'M TIRED OF TYPING...YOU DECIDE. I HAVE NOTHING GOOD TO SAY THAT CAN MAKE UP FOR MY FINANCLE LOSS,INCONVEIENCE,AND OVER ALL PAINFUL EXPERIENCE.
