Transmission, rack and pinion repair

I used this shop to repair my transmission, referred by a friend. That was a year ago. My transmission was leaking fluid so I took it in on Saturday and left it there....I had not heard anything on Monday so I call on Tuesday afternoon and was told that the transmission seals were leaking due to my rack and pinion having a leak also. The transmission repair was covered under warranty and the owner offered to repair the rack and pinion for $297.00. I said yes to the repair but 10 minutes later I reconsidered and explicitly told her not to make the repair at all. I picked up my van on Thursday and I am told that I owe for the rack and pinion repair which I did not authorize! Keep in mind I only speak to the owner over the phone and deal with a mechanic when I go into the shop. The repair was done on Wednesday and the owner seemed unaware that the repair had been made until I go in on Thursday. Long story short I was treated as if I had done something wrong when I asked if I could pay for the repair in two payments..she wanted me to pay for an unathorized repair of $297 in 10 days. I think this was a scam to get some kind of money from me since they couldn't charge me for the transmission repair.

extremely poor service

DO NOT BRING YOUR VEHICLE TO THIS SHOP, THEY WILL DO ANYTHING TO GET AS MUCH MONEY AS THEY CAN OUT OF YOUR POCKETS about a month ago my wife's 2000 toyota camry transmission gave up, so I talked to a friend of mine and he referred me to this shop. When I talked to them on the phone they said that a tow truck to come pick up the car from my house plus a rebuilt transmission and labor would add up to $600, which I was really suprised to hear so I let them take the car to the shop, that was on a friday afternoon when they picked up, and it would be ready on tuesday. When we went to check up on the car tuesday around noon, the employees were barely pushing the car into the shop, so that's their first flaw, and supposedly the car would be ready the next day, well that same afternoon on tuesday I get a call from the shop, saying the repairs would add up to $1300, and they told me everything that was wrong....the planetary axle, several more parts inside the transmission that I can't remember, plus the front brakes on the passenger side, appearantly they don't understand the difference between a rebuilt transmission and a repaired one, which I said on the phone that I wanted a rebuilt transmission. Second and third flaws, not ready at the time promised, and the price skyrockets for no reason, and the manager refused to just work on the transmission they had to do the brakes too, which I never requested even looked at since they hand't shown any of the squeaky noise that warns when its ready for change So I told them that I didn't want anything done and would pick up the car the next day, wednesday, we show up and we owe them $75 for the tow truck which was understandable since they didn't do any repairs, plus $250 because they took out the transmission, and had to put it back, at this point my wife was really upset, so in order not waste that much money, and if we supplied a transmission they would do the labor for $600, which we did, and the car was ready on thrusday finally. Thursday we pick up the car and I go home and she goes to get a few groceries for dinner, then she calls me saying the car just blew all the transmission fluid, we call the shop again, and they blame the transmission that we supplied, as being bad, so they sent a tow truck but we had to pay another $75, friday goes by and the tow truck doesnt show up till 2:00pm so it wasn't till saturday morning when they call to me that it was all a loose seal or gasket, and not the transmission which they blamed at first. Saturday afternoon we pick up the car, and when she is driving home each time she comes to a stop the brakes are squeaking so bad and it happens that all the noise comes from the passenger front side, which is crazy because prior to this shop handling the car, the brakes were fine, we get a hold of another mechanic and when he shows us the pads they are completely worn out, and they had only been in the car for about 8 months. So this is about the fifth flaw, changing out good parts in the car for worn out ones, so we would return and have them take more cash out of our pockets. Last week the car makes this rattling noise each time it drives forward and I obviously blame the shop, so I take the car to the guy that did the brakes, and the noise had nothing to do with the transmission, it was the front driver side brake, there were some parts "loose" that made all the rattling and the guy put them back into their spots DO NOT BRING YOUR VEHICLE TO THIS SHOP, THEY WILL DO ANYTHING TO GET AS MUCH MONEY AS THEY CAN OUT OF YOUR POCKETS
