Overall very satisfied with my experience with Oakdale Garage. Vehicle repairs were performed in a professional, knowledgeable and timely manner. My vehicle is performing as expected. Tommy did an amazing job explaining to me the repairs my vehicle needed. He also kept me informed of my vehicles status and thoroughly explained recommended service/ maintenance recommendations. Its nice to finally find a Garage that I cant trust to provide quality service and repairs at a reasonable cost. I cant say that I look forward to doing business in the future, but I will definitely return to the Oakdale Garage for all my vehicle service needs in the future. Phillip Douglas

I came in without an apt, and Oakdale Garage Staff graciously accommodated my need for a smog check to be completed that day. Fluids were topped off as requested, and air was put in the tires. I had also asked that my care be test driven to see if the brakes were in need of repair. My car was test driven, and I was informed that my brakes appeared to be in good working order (I was not charged for this). I was fully satisfied with my experience. I find Oakdale Garage to be consistent, trustworthy, honest, and fair.

It was an ugly situation with the brakes and the work that was required but I never felt like I shouldn't trust the people at the garage. Always responsive, informative, helpful, etc. I'll continue to bring the truck in - hopefully it's not always as expensive.

My A/C problem was diagnosed and part ordered to fix it. The service and smog check were completed. Things were explained to me in a manner that I could understand what needed to be done. The price was very reasonable too. We will continue to bring our cars in here to be serviced.

Great People and Great Mechanics!

I was on my way to Yosemite last week when my car began making terrible noises. I was travelling alone and out of country and was afraid to drive into the park and have the car break down in the middle of nowhere. The guys at Oakdale helped me immediately, even though the day was almost done for them. They knew I was just passing through town and needed help quickly. I was having a bad day on many levels, and the last thing I needed was car trouble in an unfamiliar place, but Tommy and Carey were so kind and helpful that I knew everything would be okay. Carey, the owner even sat down with me and gave me insider info on the best hikes to do in Yosemite! They honestly helped turn my day around and it was a good reminder that there are lots of genuinely kind people in the world. -Adrienne Wheaton

I came here on a recommendation to get a second opinion on a repair for my Odyssey. I had been told by another shop that my car needed a new alternator and a new transmission. This shop was professional, squeezed me in, and figured out what was really going on. They communicated with me several times throughout the process. My transmission was fine... And they gave their findings without badmouthing the other mechanic. Also, they found every little thing that was wrong with my car, which matched up perfectly with what I know had or had not been done to it (unlike the other shop's assessment), but didn't pressure me to do it all right now. I found the owner and Tommy to be respectful and kind, even when my dad (whom I took with me after my unfortunate ordeal at the other shop) pressured them on their higher pricing. I completely understand why this shop has such a loyal following in Oakdale. And I will gladly pay a little more and drive from Modesto for a mechanic I can trust to take care of my car. I am a customer for life.
