Oz is a leader in the automotive industry as well as in the community. He was one of the founding members of the Service Technicians Society, the International Automotive Technicians Network, and the innovative Protech Patrol. The Protech Patrol, begun in 1982 with just four trucks, offered free roadside assistance to stranded motorists in LA County. The state of California liked the program so much that they took it over, expanded it, and continue to operate it to this day.
