a/c evaporator leak, loose steering, shocks, major service
Been going to this shop for many years, Jeff is okay at every day stuff, oil changes, major service, but beware of anything more involved. Not good at all for front end or steering. Go elsewhere for that. Seems a bit money hungry, takes your money, does a partial repair, won't complete the repair or refund the money. Jeff has been "taking care" of my Jeep for years. He is the only one who changed my oil, did the major service, etc. Due to his lack of integrity regarding the front end and an A/C problem , I recently took my Jeep to another shop for an oil change (Peet's Garage on Cleveland). 45 minutes later, my oil was changed, all fluids were topped off, the lights, blinkers, brakes and shocks were checked. My shocks, which Jeff installed about 6 months ago had a loose nut, which they tightened. My brake fluid was almost empty, which they filled up (additonally there was no indication of a brake fluid leak). I trusted Jeff to take care of my Jeep and he failed. Failed miserably. Please do not risk your safety with this shop. It just goes on and on and on with these two (Kathy & Jeff). Kathy said they would "make it right" after an $1100 charge for an a/c evaporator leak that was not fully repaired. Well, guess what? They didn't make it right and now approximately one year later the leak still occurs on the passenger floor board and I ended up having to take them to small claims court. Jeff apparently has a serious ego problem when confronted with a valid criticism of his sloppy work. We worked it out with a mediator and they agreed to a partial refund, which was all I asking in the first place when I wrote them a letter requesting a refund a year ago! Why did they have to make it so difficult? They did an incomplete and/or sloppy repair, Jeff was obnoxious during negotiations (Kathy was reasonable), I'm guessing because he thinks is the "God" of Jeeps. Not so, Jeff, so sorry. You totally missed the trac rod diagnosis that the Rear End Shop found. That repair, by the Rear End Shop, solved the steering problem that you so smugly thought was the ball joints. Why didn't you refer me to them? Incompetence, ego, who knows. At this point it doesn't matter. DO NOT GO TO THIS SHOP EVER!
