Car diagnostic not starting, problems still existing now worse

The worst mechanic I have ever had service done at. My car shut off and wouldn’t start and I called because my car wouldn’t start and I didn’t feel safe driving it “well you can tow it” I already didn’t want to go in because of the service even though they have a tow flat, but parents insisted. I was first told it was the alternator and battery, over $800. Two days later the car did the same thing. I called after a couple days to check on the car, Mark answers and is the snottiest person I’ve ever spoke to. “Didn’t you just call on Friday?!” So tf if I did you’re being paid for the SECOND time for the same issue and he charged us another $200* dollars for a throttle cleaning. My car is now even worse after this jerk worked on it, I refuse to let him touch it again. When I get gas now the car will not start and the car is still having the same problem but worse. He is incompetent, rude and a con artist. I will never recommend anyone to this joke of a mechanic. If you want to lose over 1k and your car come out worse this is the place. Im pissed.

Supposedly Vehicle Restoration But Mainly Extortion

After the experience I've had with them, I would not have my worst enemy do business with Fourth Street Automotive, but if you are still considering doing so, I suggest this: Get an iron clad legal contract in writing before turning your car over to them because the owner of this business is not an honest man. I hired him and his company for a restoration job with a promised completion date of four and a half months. Three years later, he held my car ransom for literally thousands of dollars and returning the car in pieces after forcing me to jump through hoops, the job not even a third of the way completed. He stated that he does not do anything in writing...except his invoices that is. He even gloated that he had done this to previous customers many times before me, proudly flaunting his knowledge of how to twist the laws to his own ends. Even an investigation from the Bureau of Automotive Repair didn't phase him. The more I've talked to others in the automotive community about Fourth Street Automotive, the more surprised I am in how he stays in business despite of his horrible reputation. I guess PT Barnum was right. There's a sucker born every minute and he knows how to find them. Take my advice and don't be one of them.
