My wife's 1999 Ford Escort had a problem with its timing belt. We took it to a certain blue and gold auto repair shop on the same street and was told our water pump was to blame. Guess what? The Ford Escorts are designed so that the water pump has no contact whatsoever with the timing belt. We were lied to by that shop. We took our car to Jim Paris instead and got great service. They immediately identified the defective timing belt and honored the warranty on it even though we didn't buy it there. They also repaired some associated issues at no additional charge. I highly recommend Jim Paris and I will go there first next time I need car work done.

Very good work, and excellent warranty on work performed, Personnel well informed, and experienced, always cordial, and ready to listen to customers concerns. Been a customer for some time and highly recommend them. You may get better price somewhere else but you may not get quality work, as you will here.

Primarily Subaru's, but will work on other cars and trucks too. Because of my 1990 262k Legacy, my husband and I were referred to Joel in 2007. Since then, Alternative Autoworx is the ONLY place we taken our now Forester and Ford F150 to. Finding - and staying with - a great mechanic is like going to the doctor, they keep a record of everything they do so they know about your vehicle. The guys are friendly, knowledgeable, trustworthy and honest about telling you what needs work now and what you should consider down the road. Been very good about quick attention when I've had to tow a car in. Reasonable prices and great service - the Alternative to dealers. (I know it sounds like I work there, or am related, but no)

Do not go to Louisville Tire. I took my car to get it aligned here. The first time they aligned my car they did it incorrectly and I had to take it in again. They also installed my two rear directional tires in backwards. When I confronted the manager in regards to this issue, he said he was sorry, admitted fault for installing my tires backwards and he said couldn't do anything about it. He also told me that I didn't know anything about cars and that my car nor my tires will be effected by installing tires in backwards (contrary to conventional knowledge). In addition, when I took my car in to get an alignment, the manager tried to up-sell me on additional services that were not needed (my dealership also confirmed that said services were not needed). The manager explicitly told me that I didn't know anything about cars, that is probably why he was trying to up-sell me on unneeded services. Louisville Tire does not even deserve one star for services that are not done correctly the first time. I don't trust this company and will never go here again for fear of being taken advantage of and having to deal with a manager who does not appreciate his customers and/or doesn't treat his customers in a professional way.

My Audi had an issue with intermittently not starting. Bill checked out all the possibilities. And he went beyond using his deep knowledge and experience to find the problem. He found and ordered the part. And I am thankful for the loaner car. He and his team do an excellent job, know mechanics and work to correct all the problems. Jeff's taken great care of my Jeep Grand Cherokee for years and has kept my Ford Escape going nicely for more than a decade. His work is good and the pricing is fair. I wouldn't think of taking my cars anywhere else, and recommend this garage without reservation.
