Brake System Evaulation
Took my '04 Honda Civic in for a brake problem. Was told everything - rotors, pads, calipers, lines - needed to be replaced, was quoted $2500. Had the car towed at my own expense to another shop. Other shop diagnosed a broken brake line, cost me $228 to have it repaired. Brakes work fine now. Will not ever go here again.

Emissions Repair
We generally do our own repairs but this repair stumped us. After our repair and several hundred dollars later our vehicle still wouldn't pass emissions. After they diagnosed and made the repair to the fuel pump our vehicle was a good as new. Jennifer was a pleasure to work with. She was courteous and polite. She explained the issue and worked with us. The repairs were made timely, even though they were solidly booked with other work ahead of ours, they managed to squeeze us in and do this timely repair! They are trusted and my go-to auto repair shop in Torrington! Thank you for a job well done.

Replace entire exhaust system
I use Bahr auto whenever I need any vehicle repairs that I can't or do not want to do myself. They are top notch professionals from the front office to the repair bays. The office keeps me fully informed on the repair process and any finding by the mechanics. They always ask for approval before making any repair, and will make suggestions based on need and priority. They only use quality parts, and fully stand behind any work that they do. They will take the time to answer any question you may have, and will even take you out to the garage to show you what they are talking about. I have used a couple of other repair shops in the area including dealers and have been disappointed by poor workmanship, crappy parts failing, price gouging, or any combination of the three. Nobody likes to pay for car repairs. Instead of going through the time and cost of regret. I get my vehicle repairs done right the first time at Bahr Auto.

diagnosis
Greatly surprised at the tactics they use to try and convince me that "if i dont do this my life or vehicle will be danger" The girl at the counter is extreme rude and is constantly on her iphone or computer. i think facebook is more important to her than her customers. People make think they are gods gift to Torrington, but i find them stupidly expensive, lying to customer to have unnecessary repairs done to their cars, and generally rip-off artists. They truly give mechanics a horrible name.
