Engine Purchase and Install
This was probably the Best Experience that I ever had at a Mechanic Shop. Tom and Kathy are awesome people who are honest and respectful. The Gave me a Great deal on a Ford 4.0 engine for my Explorer Sport Trac and swapped it for a very fair price also. Had the whole thing done and the truck back to me from Tuesday to the Tuesday of the next week and I was back to driving my Baby. It has been 3 or 4 months now I guess and not one problem. The Truck is as good as new to me and I could not be Happier with the Price of everything and the professionalism of this Shop. I have 4 vehicles to take care of and when one goes down I will for sure be coming to talk to Tom and Kathy at Dave's A1 Auto. Thanks so much for treating me fair and doing a Good Job. Transmission Replaced
I don't remember who referred me to Dave's A1 Auto back in 1998 when we first moved here but I could never thank them enough. These guys are great! I had a company back in Tampa rebuild the transmission on our '92 Chevy S-10 Blazer. It worked fine for about 1 or 2 years after having them redo it twice, but after moving here I needed to have it rebuilt again. At this time I took it to AAMCO in St Augustine first rebuilt was not a smooth shift and the second time the same along with some failure. Someone recommended Dave's A1 Auto off US 1 near Favoretta. These guys are awesome! I took the Blazer to them and it ran beautifully up to the day we sold it with 200,000 plus miles on it. Since then whenever we need anything we go to them first. I can always count on them to do the job right the first time and for a very reasonable rate. Today we brought in our '98 Chevy S-10 pickup for a gear box rebuild/replacement and we have complete confidence it will come back better than ever.
