Wheel bearing service, check brakes
I advised the service writer that I was planning a trip to Colorado and wanted bearings serviced and replace as needed. Also check brakes for adjustment or replacement. The wheel bearing in the left rear wheel broke down in Kansas. The castle nut was on so tight the mechanic had to use an impact wrench to loosen the nut. The other wheel bearings were checked, old grease was found and damage was discovered in several of the bearings. I had to replace all the bearings. The brakes were not adjusted, some of the adjustment cogs were so worn that they couldn't have been used.I am now replacing all brakes. I did not want this to occur while on the trip. The shop failed to accomplish what i required. I will not return to this shop and will warn others to be very careful when getting any service. i heave a 25 foot travel trailer.
