Generator Repair
All Keys Diesel Repair removed our Generator from our Boat on Oct 23, 2015 for a broken bearing in the back end unit, Stated it would be reinstalled in 1 week. 1 month later it was reinstalled and they broke off a brush during re-installation. Part ordered. 1 1/2 weeks later brush was installed and generator lasted less that 5 hours. Generator was pulled again. 2 months later generator was re-installed and lasted 15 days. In the process, shorting out all 14 brand new house batteries and a $5,000 invertor. Contacted All Keys Diesel mechanic via facebook since we were in the Bahamas. He gave me suggestions on things to try which did not work. Contacted All Keys Diesel mechanic by phone exactly 90 days from re-installation and he asked me to try something else which did not work. Contacted the owner and he stated it was no longer in warranty and my contact with the mechanic did not qualify for "notifying the company" so he would not honor the warranty. I am out of over $10,000 out of pocket and have not had a working generator for 8 months. They will lie to you continuously. DO NOT USE ALL KEYS DIESEL or Keys Diesel or Florida Keys Diesel as they all appear to be the same company

generator repair
We had a generator go out on our way to the Keys. We stopped to ask about repairing. The lady in the office said the mechanic was with a customer and she would have him call us. No return cal. We called twice and stopped in again....same story, he was busy with a customer and would call us back. We still haven't received that return call and we are home now. If they were not interested in repairing the generator, they could at least given a return call and the courtesy of saying they were too busy for the work a suggest someone else. If their customer service is any reflection of the quality of their work, I would avoid them at all cost and find someone else.

Change of impellers and zincs
I recently requested a change of my Engine impellers and Zincs. Also requested the zincs be changed in the Generator. I was quoted approximately 2 -3 hours for the impellers and I estimated another 1hour to change the zincs. Add about $ 160.00 for the impellers and another 100 for zincs and I expected my bill to be around $ 600.00. It came in at $1059.00. Though they have an excellent mechanic in Billy be very careful in pricing. Not saying they are outright dishonest but they do abuse in their charges.

Engine Repower
I recently had All Keys Diesel repower my sportfishing vessel. The mechanic who performed the majority of the work on my boat was extremely professional and did very clean work. The service manager there seems to have an incredible base of knowledge when it comes to Caterpillar engines. We had to wait a little bit on a couple of odd parts, but they called me each day to update me on these parts and their ETA. All in all, I am quite happy with the level of service I received, and will continue to use them when I am down in the Keys.

transmission work
Poor mechanics at best - felt cheated since they claim it took 1.5 hours to remove a torque limiter (6 bolts) from the transmission. Really? an hour and a half for 6 bolts? Two of which they cut off! When questioned about this they said the were REALLY hard to remove. I would use anyone but these guys!
