Service Provided

We took our vehicle in for new rear brakes. My wife was told at the time of the service that we just needed brake pads and the rotors did not need to be turned. Our car's brakes started squealing about a day after the service was performed. I took the vehicle back in and discussed it with the "owner", who stated that they probably needed to turn the rotors. When asked why they didn't suggest that in the first place he didn't have a real good explanation. He said that they would swap the brake pads and "see what happened". He was fairly rude at this point. I left for about a half an hour and then came back that I would just go ahead and have the pads removed by someone else and return them to him for a refund. I thought that this would be an amicable solution since I was not happy with the quality of the work and the fact that he was being considerably ill mannered. He agreed to refund the money for the brake work and I gave him my debit card to refund the money. I then asked what amount he intended on refunding and he stated ...
