Had great experience with Guys automotive. They found the best engine for my Escalade , Guy personally drove me to work and four days later came back to pick me up, my vehicle has never ran better, Pat Jose and Guy were the greatest, I am recommending Guys automotive to all my family and friends, best repair facility I have been too in TampaHad great experience with Guys automotive. ***PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU BRING YOUR VEHICLE TO GUY'S AUTOMOTIVE ON NEBRASKA AVENUE IN TAMPA*** In March 2020, I brought in my Cadillac CTS to repair a broken heater core and engine thermostat since Guy's estimated quote was around half of the dealership. Following the repair, I immediately noticed scratches on my shift knob but was promised by Pat that she would find a replacement. I also noticed that there was trash and random bolts left in the car and it was much dirtier than when I had dropped it off. The next day my engine light came on and I returned it to Guy's four separate times to try to find the issue. Guy suggested I replace my cam sensors since he couldn't find an issue with the car (a $741 repair in total) but two days after that repair, the check engine light came back on yet again. I finally decided to just bring it to the Ed Morse Cadillac dealership and they easily found the issue (a stretched timing chain that ended up being a $2,500 repair which was not a problem prior to bringing it to Guy's). I was also told that the cover to my high pressure fuel pump sound dampener was missing and there were multiple loose clamps/brackets from the repairs done at Guy's. I contacted Guy's shop to continue to ask about the shift knob replacement for the fifth time and to find the replacement part that had gone missing from their repairs (Pat had been dodging me about the replacement for almost two months at that point). Six weeks later the parts came in and I was beyond shocked to see that they replaced my damaged shift knob with one that was in even worse condition (both faded and scratched). I am still really nervous about what they could have damaged in the engine while putting back the part they lost. After three stressful months, incredibly poor customer service, and over $3,200 spent on either unnecessary work or work to repair the damage Guy's shop did to the car, I can honestly say this is by far the worst experience I've not only had with a mechanic, but with any business period. I would hate to see anyone else treated like this... please avoid this shop at all costs.***PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU BRING YOUR VEHICLE TO GUY'S AUTOMOTIVE ON NEBRASKA AVENUE IN TAMPA*** In March 2020, I brought in my Cadillac CTS to repair a broken heater core and engine thermostat since Guy's estimated quote was around half of the dealership.
