Belt Replacement and Other
I am so sad to see these bad reviews on here and sad that a site would let someone post 2 bad reviews on the same situation. You can tell both Gloria and Chris are older people that don't understand how things work. AN ESTIMATE IS JUST AN ESTIMATE! Once work has been started, an estimate can go up. As for financing not going through, I am sure this was just a misunderstanding and shame on you for not waiting to sign paperwork! I live in the Atlanta area, but a while back had to head to Fort Benning to take care of some business for my deployed soldier in Fort Benning. On the way my car started making noises, but was still driving ok. I figured I should call around to some places in the area just to get it checked out before I made the drive back. I called several places and people were trying to guess over the phone what the problem was and it was very expensive things that they were guessing! How on Earth could they guess by my description of a noise that my car needed hundreds of dollars in repairs! Transmission Doctors and More was my 4th call and my last, thank God! I spoke with Josh, the manager, he was so polite, didn't seem too busy to help me or spend a few minutes with me on the phone, didn't try to guess what my problem was and did not try to preface my visit with an outrageous quote! I stopped by Transmission Doctors and More on my way back from Benning, I was greeted by Josh and they took my car right in. In and out in under an hour for an easy fix and my bank account still existed! To this day I travel out of my way to Columbus just to take my car to be worked on by honest people. Thanks Trasmission Docs and Josh!

Brakes, Struts, knock sensors
Thanks so much to the Manager Josh and crew at Transmission Doctors and More. I live in the Atlanta area and was in Columbus visiting when of all things my car decided to have issues. I took it too a couple of places and didn't feel like I was getting the service that I needed. Being a woman it is hard to know who to trust when it comes to cars. I then took my car to Transmission Doctors and couldn't of been any happier. Josh was great to work with and very knowledgeable. He explained what repairs I needed and made sure that I understood, even pulled up info for me to make sure I understand what work would be done to my car. Since my visit I have recommended them to other family members and friends and they all experienced the same experience that I did. Thanks again to Josh and crew and Transmission Doctors on River Road Columbus ga.

Transmission Repairs
I had visited the Transmission Doctors and More in October of this year and due to several misunderstandings and unforeseen events, I had felt that my experience with this company was horrible. As s result, I had posted several negative comments about this company which I now regret and wish that I could take back. Unfortunately, I cannot remove said negative comments from this forum, therefore, in the alternative, I am going to revise or update my comments. After discussing my issues with Chad, the owner of the Transmission Doctors and More and Bob's Transmission on Veterans Parkway, I was provided with a clearer understanding of the situation and realized that I had overreacted about the whole situation. After explaining everything to me and pointing out the misunderstanding, Chad thereafter,as a matter of courtesy, rectified the whole situation and accommodated me fully. The transmission to my car was rebuilt and it now runs like it was running when I first bought it. Although it is an 1996 Oldsmobile Cutless Supreme, my car now runs like a 2006 Dodge Charger. I don't have any more problems with it and I do mean that it runs great now. I also have a one year warranty to go with the repairs and service. Chad is very understanding and courteous. Not only did they fix my transmission, but they also fixed the lights on my car which had stopped working. The Transmission Doctors and More and Bob's Transmissions provides excellent auto service and I will definitely take my car to them again in the future if I am having car problems. I recommend both of these companies to anyone that may experience problems with their car. You will receive A+ service and that's the honest truth. I know that I am now fully satisfied with the service that I received. 10 Stars to the Transmissions Doctors and More and Bob's Transmission. Thanks Chad and Crew! Bonita and Chris

Major auto service
I would like to thank David, Josh and their crew at Transmission Doctor for their outstanding service and professionalism. I took my daughter's 2007 Toyota Camry up to their shop on Oct 16th and picked it up on Oct 17th!! The vehicle needed a major service as she had the car away at college and it had not been serviced in a while, other than oil changes. They had their diagnostic technician check the car and he determined that there were a few things that needed to be replaced and/or repaired. The car needed an alternator assembly, new belts, fluids, oil change and filters and new spark plugs. David called me the same day I dropped it off, and gave me a list of all the necessary parts and their cost, as well as the labor charge. I authorized him to go ahead with the servicing. When I came to pick up the car the next day, the cost was exactly what David and Josh had quoted to me. That surprised me .... I have had past experiences at other shops where the final cost was more than the original quote. The car had been washed too! It drives like a new car now. I am impressed with the outstanding service I received at Transmission Doctor, and will recommend it to my friends & co-workers. I am also going to bring my other daughters' cars and my car to their shop when they need servicing. Thanks again.

Serevice
I brought my car in for an oil change and because the "check engine" light was on. They did a FREE diagnostic check and told me exactly what needed to be repaired and how much it would cost. Excellent customer service, friendly employees, trustworthy, great prices, very fair, and short wait time. They are honest, and will NOT try to sell you something you do not need, nor pad the bill. In previous repair shops, I felt taken advantage of, by being a woman, and for my lack of knowledge about car repairs. But at Transmission Doctors, they took the time to explain everything to me in detail and did not try to pressure me into anything. As a courtesy, they even got on the cell phone with my husband and explained everything to him as well. Will definately be returning for ALL of my car needs and repairs. My husband brings his car in as well, for oil changes and repairs (muffler, etc) and is equally as happy with service. My dad is a mechanic, but lives out of state, and he was always concerned about me finding a good auto repair shop that I can trust and that would do great work for a fair price. He will be happy and relieved that I found exactly that in Transmission Doctors! Will recommend to everyone who needs auto service!

My mother had a bad experience with the Transmission Doctors on River Rd in Columbus Georgia. Her name is Bonita and she have posted a complaint about the Transmission Doctors on this website if you care to read about her experience with said company. I had the occasion to deal with said company on my mother's behalf in regards to the issues that she was having with said company. From my dealings with the Transmission Doctors, I can give an honest and correct assessment about said company. This company is truly unprofessional, unethical, dishonest,immoral,corrupt, etc., etc., etc. This company have only been given two stars out of five by the Mechanic Advisor, nor is said company BBB accredited, which says a lot about this company. If you have had a bad experience with the Transmission Doctors please contact Chris at 706-341-8300. By the way, my mother gave the Transmission Doctors one star on this website, which I have also given. The reason for this one star is because you are required to select between one star to five stars in order to post your review. The Transmission Doctors receives a negative 10 stars from the both of us. I advise you to beware of this company if you ever consider employing their services. If you knew any better you would stay away from this company and find another auto mechanic shop to deal with. There are plenty of them in Columbus and in my opinion, all of them are better than the Transmission Doctors. Don't regret your decision and be like I wish I would have known before I went to the Transmission Doctors. I have told you, therefore you are informed of what you may be in for if you deal with the Transmission Doctors. PLEASE BEWARE, BEWARE, BEWARE!!!!! Again, BEWARE!!!

Transmission
I had talked to Josh at Transmission Doctor about having my transmission inspected to determine if it could be repaired and after said discussion, my car was picked up by a tow truck and taken to the Transmission Doctor on River Rd. I was thereafter informed that my transmission could be rebuilt and that it would cost around $1600 to rebuild it. I informed Josh that I was on fixed income and would be able to pay that much money to have my transmission rebuilt. Josh then informed me that the Transmission Doctor offered financing and that I would be approved to have the cost of the repairs financed. Specifically, I was told by Josh that I would be approved and therefore I would be able to get my car when it was repaired and be allowed to make low monthly payments towards the financed amount until it was paid off. Based on what Josh had informed me I authorized the Transmission Doctor to repair my transmission. After my transmission was repaired, Josh informed me that I had not been approved for financing and therefore I would have to pay the full amount of the repair bill which was now approximately $2600 before I would be able to get my car back. I don't have this kind of money and I would have never allowed my car to be repaired by the Transmission Doctor if I would have had to pay the full amount before I got my car back. Josh pulled the old bait and switch on my by telling me one thing to get me to allow them to fix my car and then switching it after the car was fixed. Now I can't even get my car back and on top of that, the Transmission Doctor quoted me a price of around $1600 in the beginning and then at the ending said that I owed them $2600. Not so! The transmission Doctor are unethical, deceitful, and unprofessional. I recommend that you do not trust their services. Gloria if you read this post I say that we do something about the Transmission Doctor. Bonita

Transmission Work
No No No for the review of 10 stars I give the Transmission Dr. No stars My experience was no doubt HORRIBLE!!!! And so was the guy that was up there getting his car I wish I had run into him before I gave them my car. First of all my car was working when I dropped it off. My car was cranking up. I am so mad I can barely type. When I went to pick up the car giving my $600.00. They told me my car was not working that something else was wrong with it and had the nerve to ask for 300.00 more dollars. To everyone out there Please heed my words Stay Away from the Transmission Doctor it is located on River Rd. Again I Say STAY AWAY111

10 STARS IF I COULD
Honest and upfront. Great customer service. I was recommended to this place by a co-worker of mine who had a great experience and said I should take my truck there. After my first encounter with the shop and staff at Transmission Doctors, my truck will always be going to Transmission Doctors. It was a nice atmosphere that made me feel comfortable and not overwhelmed with all of these add on charges that some other garages get into. Great experience and I would recommend to anyone.
