I had a bad battery, which i had purchased from Plaza in 2018 it was a continental battery. Went to get another, but had none in stock the service tech told me he would have to order it and it would be pricey, so i just walked out! So if you don't have a customers tires for their car in stock, you going to tell that customer that you will have to order them and that they will be pricey?! We are giving you the business. So, i went somewhere else. They have a 42 month warranty on their car batteries, where you only offer 2 years!

Dear,HR Person My Wife & I were desperately needing all new tires after this past snow storm came thru. We didn't know if We would be able to afford them with Us being on a fixed income. I believe it was the store Manager in Du Quoin, IL who suggested to Us to try applying for a store credit card, which We did, thinking We wouldn't be approved. Not only were We approved. Unbeknownst to me, I ran over a razor knife blade on Friday evening, probably in the DuQuoin Walmart parking lot. When I removed the wheel Monday morning, I could see the tiee wasn't repairable. We went in to have a tire repaired/replaced,balanced and rotated and oil changed. The first stop was at DuQuoin Plaza...they changed the oil (for $59 with coupon which was overpriced compared to local competition) but did not have the same tire to replace the damaged one and also informed us that we had a damaged ball joint that would be 'around' $300 to replace. We had to drive to Murphysboro to get the correct tire which cost over $38 to replace including 'road hazard' for the new tire that was replacing a tire the was 4 months old With road hazard..And a new valve stem to replace the 4 month old, undamaged one. No balance nor rotation was completed and they informed us that the ball joint was seriously damaged and would cost $400 to replace. We ultimately got the ball joint (assembly) replaced for $212 by a competent mechanic. We were very disappointed with the service/cost gouging at Plaza.

We have patronized plaza tire for many years and bring our 4 vehicles there for tire change and everything. On June 19, I took our Ford ranger for an oil change and was informed that one of the tires was getting bald due to not being aligned. After further research, Danny the tech told me that it had not been aligned since 2013. These tires were bought in 2015 at this facility so why did they not see that when we bring it for service every so often. They're records should alert them on what needs to be done such as rotation, alignment, etc.We buy the tires there for the lifetime warranty but I guess it's useless if they won't do it when needed. I showed up with a tire that was leaking air at an accelerated rate. I pulled right up to an open bay and flagged one of the employees over to show him what was happening. He reassured me that I was in good hands, as I watched my tire lose a lb of pressure every minute. I went inside and watched them jack up my truck and remove my tire. After inspecting it they told me that the tire was cracking because it needed replaced. They matched a replacement to the front two tires (which had just been replaced at Plaza Tire in my home town of Carbondale, IL). While it was expensive to replace It needed to be done so I gave them the go ahead to replace it. I was in and out within an hour. Technician aired up all tires and told me that the left rear tire was the only one that had been low. I asked him to check it and see if he could fix whatever was wrong. I told them before I checked out that I get military discount. Witch my this his my boyfriends car and he his a disabled vet. My vehicle required unscheduled service due to a hot smell coming from under the vehicle. Although the Plaza service department had a full schedule of customers, I was able to have the truck checked out. No problem was found upon trouble-shooting, but the technician suspected a partially frozen emergency brake system due to extremely cold temperatures currently in the area. Took car in because tire pressure light came on, and I had only had the tires for a month or so. They checked the pressure and stated the one I had always had trouble with was low. Offered to check into it further. Was only a few minutes when they advised it was a valve on the tire that was a little corroded. Fixed it.

Customer support and interaction is great at this place the only reason that I did not give them a better review was that most places when you get new tires they do not charge you for servicing valve stems and TPMS and then they also do not charge you for balancing your new tires. it was like they nickeled and dimed me to raise the price of the service being done. The other thing was that all the other places that I have bought tires from they have also did the alignment for free as well when new tires are installed. Also the car needed an oil change as well and that did not get done even though I told them that I also wanted them to do that.

The work they did was great. No complaints there but I was suppose to get a percentage off on 4 new tires, balancing, alignment and road hazard that I bought. Even did the free tire quote to get $20 dollars off a set of 4 tires and got charged full price. They didn't have the set they said they had online. The set I bought was $150 higher. I'll go somewhere else on my next set of tires.

Bring my car in to have the vibration in the front end looked at. Service guys came to get me and to show me that both lower control arms were bad and said that all 4 of my struts were broke. Wrote a quote up and it was 1650.00. Told them to put back on my tire I would have my mechanic check it out. Took car to my mechanic and I payed 156.00 it was a broken tie rod nothing was wrong with the car that was reported to me. Very disappointed in the service

Oilchange took over 2 hours cost 100 bucks..... plus they say they do brakes but when I had them do brakes on my truck my truck caught fire due to the brakes being way to tight. I came in to get new tires for the back of my auto. Also a complete tune up as my auto really was in need of one. Well because of them shorthanded on staff. They were not able to do my complete tuneup for my out of town trip in 3 days. Im now needing to find another mechanic shop now that is reliable and reasonably priced on Monday the day before my trip. No mechanics were available to do it during the weekend. Hopefully I can find one on Monday to do it before my trip. Overall with this unexpected issue at Plaza Tires. I had a nail in my tire and called the store on a nasty winter day. I asked if I could bring my car in in about an hour. Upon arrival the service man came to the desk, spoke nicely, and said it shouldn't take very long at all. He brought the nail from my tire inside and gave it to me. His boss or coworker was not in the store and a regional manager was there. The service man prepared my bill. Actually he did everything in about 20 minutes time. I will return again.

Once i called back and talked to the manager he took good care of me. I brought my vehicle in early in the morning before a road trip because a warning light had just came on. The guys were super friendly and tried to squeeze it in between appointments so we could still get on the road. They replaced the dead battery and were ready to send us in the way just a couple hours late, but then they realized the alternator had to be replaced. :( They ordered the part and got it put in the same day still. We missed our road trip, but they were very nice about it, and even stayed open a few minutes late for me to get a ride to come get my vehicle. I haven't had any problems with it since then. All in all I would recommend them again.

All three of the guys Jeff, Jeremy And Forrest are friendly, and kind . We have lived in Pinckneyville four years now.. We have dealed with them since . Even my two grown Sons deal with them.. I initially went in to get a quote for tires, to be honest I did not think that Plaza would be able to get anywhere near Walmart's price on Goodyears. I was so wrong. I was tired of using off brand tires because they were the cheapest way to go but you paid for it in the long run with poor wear and non-consistent quality. Jeff and Jeremy went totally out of their way to point out specs, compare prices, share personal experiences with customer feedback on the tires, so I decided to take their advise and got great tires for an excellent price. I once swore to myself that I would not go back to Plaza Tire after a terrible experience at their Sparta outlet, Jeff and Jeremy are now my go to guys for tires and maintenance. Thank you so much.

I wasn't planning on buying tires but my car decided otherwise. Plaza Tire had a fantastic deal buy 3 get 1 free. The manager was extremely nice, very knowledgeable, explained everything to me, gave me lots of options, explained the tire brand that I chose, I think I got an amazing deal and awesome customer service. The shop was very clean. I'd recommend them to anyone.

Everything was pretty good except time to complete job was excessive. 1 hour & 15 min. is too long for a standard rotation & balance with no problems found. Service at this store is usually much more efficient. UPDATE: Went back the next week to have my SUV tires rotated & balanced. Service was excellent.

I might be done with Plaza Tire . The last two times I have taken a vehicle to this company to have 4 tires installed , they have called me and told me how bad everything else is . I don't like to be asked to buy something . The latest vehicle is the one in this survey . I had recently changed front and rear wheel bearing and sensor assembly on the driver's side . They called me and told me that I had a bad wheel bearing . It was brand new . I can take care of my own problems thank you . I feel sorry for the people who fall for this trick .
