I had a hard to track down problem with my coolant system. Joe and the guys figured it out and got it fixed quickly and cheaply!

Came in for a new tire and rotate and balance. I was the first one in the door on that day and it took over an hour for them to even move my car into the shop. Took an hour and half for the service. Watching them thru the window showed why, it took 12 minutes(yes I timed it) just to ensure the lug nuts were properly tightened because the mechanic thought it was more important to tell stories with his coworkers than to do the job in a timely manner. Worst plaza tire I have been to by far!

Needed new front tires due to uneven inside wear. Plaza tires discovered the ball joints and control arms were loose. Replaced tires, ball joint, control arms and alignment. Staff were friendly. Work was done to my satisfaction. Only thing negative to say is the bill at $2400 was high for the work done.

I had a rear tire that had a slow air leak. Even though I had set an appointment a day or two earlier, when I arrived, the shop was literally packed to the gills. My appointment was at 1:00, and I had to be in St. Louis (two hours away) by 4:30. I didn't see any way they could even get my car into a bay in time for me to make my appointment. Nevertheless, as promised, they had my tire assessed, patched and replaced exactly within one hour -- as promised. I'm really not sure how they did it and I felt overwhelmed by the volume of business. But everyone was professional, fast and polite. Excellent experience all the way around!

The guys that work your counter are great BUT....I had a 2:00 appt for an oil change and tire rotation. It was in the bay on time but it was not done for 2 1/2 hours! I was told that there were no special circumstances. That's quite a long time to hang around in your showroom.

I want to thank Joe for treating me with respect and not talking to me like I am stupid because I am a woman. He took the time to explain what was going on with my tires and why they needed to be replaced. I had originally gone there because I needed a new battery, but he noticed my tires were bad as well. I had to go back the next day to get the tires put on. While I was there, I had the opportunity to listen to Joe interact with the customers. Plaza Tire staff are the best -- because I am a 'dumb' girl at 71 yrs of age, who dislikes grease. Troubleshooting is a word, that I know nothing about -- but the Staff at Plaza Tire work hard and know what they are doing. The REALLY cold weather took a tole on the battery and electric parts. The onboard information do-dads confused the radio setting information. saying CHECK SERVICE. I could not find that information in the Operator's Manual. Perhaps static shocks and freezing cold caused the ODD behavior ? My Suzuki is working well now and I say THANKS to Plaza Tire.

They did a good job on the alignment, though the wait was a little long. I had a tire in the rear that was toed out excessively, and they set the toe to specs.. Still have considerable road noise due to some "feathering on the inside edge of the tire.

Brought my 2005 Chevy truck into Plaza Marion with concerns of front shocks not working appropriately. Tommy and Joe worked diligently to find the right shocks to fit my truck with a leveling kit. After a few attempts to make the ride better and more comfortable they diagnose the truck with problems with leveling kit. After adjusting the level kit and alignment the truck has improved with handling and comfort of ride. If not for Joe and Tommy correcting this problem my truck would not have been a comfort to drive. I had new tires installed 2 months ago. We drove the car home. The next morning we had to get on the interstate and travel 50 miles. On the way I noticed some vibration in the front. The closer we got to our exit the car started pulling to the left. I went back directly to the gas station at the back exit. When I got out the left front tire was flat. I called Marion and they said if I could drive back to metropolis they would fix. They installed a new left front tire because it had a big goose egg on it. The right side the only leak found was the valve stem. Driving back I noticed we still had a vibration and called Marion to fix. When we took it in they said that the front right rim was dinted and couldn’t balance so they moved to rear. I questioned if the rim was bent why wasn’t it reported when we first installed tires and I was given run around. I feel the rim was damaged somehow when the tires went flat and it’s experience will cost us a 350 rim and who knows what other damage was done because of faulty air valve.

Worst experience at Marion plaza tire. After waiting 2hours for 3 new tires to be put in and aligment. They forgot to do the wheel aligment so it took another 45 minutes. Customer service was terrible as well. Joe is not nice like when he first stared there. Also they forget to put my spare tire in the trunk. The vehicle was picked up Friday afternoon at quitting time. The next morning we were driving and I noticed vibrating steering wheel. I call to set up appointment no call back. Just before reaching our destination (45) mile drive. I noticed the steering pulling slightly to the right. As I left the interstate pulling became more noticeable. I pulled into station and hit a slight bump on driver side then noticed tire was completely flat. I called in and reported that the front tire went flat and a big knot was on the tire. They asked if would hold air to get to the nearest plaza location. While I was talking to the Marion representative the rear wheel on the same side was going flat. Aired up both tires and drove to local plaza. They were very accommodating and replaced the driver side damaged tire and checked the rear tire for leaking. They concluded that the valve was leaking and replaced. Traveling home I noticed it still had vibration in steering and called to have it looked at. When I returned to pick up the car I was informed that they moved both front wheels to the back and one of them was dinted and would probably continue to vibrate when we rotated again. My thought is that it had to happen when the tires went flat other wise it should have been noticed and reported to me when they put the new tires on. I was informed that I could buy another wheel for 350.00. This experience has left a very nasty taste for me and to replace a wheel that was damaged do to sloppy install and no quality control is unexceptionable. If this is company policy with plaza tire, I will not be recommending

I go to Plaza Tire for most of my vehicle maintenance so when I realized I had a flat tire, they were the first place I called. As soon as I pulled up I could tell they were busy and once I got to the counter they said they could get me taken care of but it would be a little bit. They asked for my understanding and patience and that they would get me in as soon as they could. I don't mind waiting when I know I'm in good hands and that they are working as diligently as they can. When they finished my car, they told me they were able to plug the tire, which made my day. They could have said I needed a new tire but they were honest and fixed it as cheaply as possible. The staff is always friendly and knowledgeable!

At first I was happy with the overall experience, except for the fact that I waited 2 hours over their estimated completion time. But, the service manager said they were fixing their work that initially was not top notch, so I didn't mind the wait too much. I had the 4 new tires for 3 days. They cost $1100. I bought a protection plan that apparently doesn't apply to my tires, which of course they didn't tell me straight up. On the 3rd day I went to leave for work in the morning and one tire was completely deflated. I called Plaza and referenced the protection plan, I bet they got a kick out of that. After avoiding my calls all day, I went there after work to speak with management. They, Tommy & Joe, basically called me a liar and said I knew the tire was flat, I was just lazy and didn't bring it in immediately. I will NEVER DO BUSINESS THERE AGAIN AS LONG AS I LIVE. We ended up getting a discount since we had to buy a 5th tire. Now the steering wheel is off balance so I'm going to pay a real mechanic to fix the job Plaza was originally supposed to do. Update: almost 2 weeks later and still can't drive the truck, waiting to get in to get everything re-aligned. Biggest pain in the ass I've ever experienced with new tires. Management did absolutely nothing to help the situation.

The whole experience was lousy. I buy my tires almost exclusively there, but was in need of an oil change so I called up for an appointment and was told I could come in at 2pm. Awesome. I went up and waited several minutes for someone to even come up to the counter only to be told they didn't see an appointment for 2PM, but they said they could squeeze me in. I told them I only had an hour, but they insisted they could get me taken care of. An hour and a half later I found myself still waiting. I had to cancel my plans after that. The guy did apologize for the wait and offered my $5 off. This really isn't much of a consolation considering the price of the oil change ($60+) and the time I was away from work. Overall SUPER DISSAPOINTING. You guys still get my tire business, but I can't waste an entire afternoon like that again.

I have used plaza tire in marion multiple times. I return because I know I will get great service. I needed to have my 4runner aligned and tires balanced. My runner had been lifted and I had a slight rub I wanted looked at. Tommy who I have dealt with multiple times discovered that the driver side was about one inch lower than the passenger side ( driver side lean). I luckily had adjustable front shocks and they lifted the front and leveled the vehicle. They kept me in the loop and active in the decision making. Always very informative and friendly. Would recommend without reservation.

We had an appointment for 10:00Am to get two new tires and an alignment! When we took the car in we were told they would call us when ready! About 2:00 pm we called them and they said their truck forgot to drop off tires and they said they would try to get Him back! Later that day they said they were not getting the tires today but they would take us first thing tomorrow! The next day they took people ahead of us and when we called they said it would be ready in a half hour! Then when we were on our way they they called and said they found something else wrong in doing the alignment and would need a part which should have been checked the day before so they could have ordered it that day! We told them to go ahead and when we got there to pick it up no one was working on it but they were working on other cars and they said it would be another 40 Minutes so we went back home and they called two hours later and said it was done! We thought everything was good but the next day we have a noise in the front end so we are having to take the car to another mechanic

Had a rear break caliber & breaks installed, getting ready to go out of town. Drop the car off after hours left keys to have the work done, go to pick up my car that evening after they closed ,was drop off got in started to drive ( Break peddle went to the floor) NO BREAKS ) . had to take it back next morning to get it fix , took 2 1/2 hours to bleed the break system. Took my truck in for a front end alignment , average wait time , when truck was done technician came out told me its was all within specs , showed me the readings and said there would be no charge was very happy with that so would recommend there service again

I went here to get a tire patched/plugged. I left it with them in the morning and got a ride to work. They called me asking if I knew where the key was to my lug nuts. I didn’t know where it was but gave them permission to look for it. They told me they checked my glove compartment, trunk, and door panels and couldn’t find it, so they damaged them taking them off and charged me for new ones. They couldn’t find a leak supposedly. They told me my tires were down to the ware line and that I needed 4 new tires, I needed breaks on the back, breaks on the front, and rotors on the front. They quoted me over $1100. I had to pay $25 for them to give me this info and for the lug nuts they replaced, if they even did that. I took my car to a dealership for a second opinion. They said my tires are not even close to the ware line. They were able to plug my tire for me. They said my front breaks have about 10,000 miles left on them but replaced my back breaks and rotors. Also the key to my lug nuts was right there in my glove compartment, so Plaza Tire damaged my lug nuts and charged me for new ones for absolutely no reason. I feel like they were trying to get one over on me and gave me misleading information to try and make money off of me. Unprofessional and very unsatisfied. I will never go to Plaza Tire again for any reason.

Customer service was fantastic, and they diagnosed the issue with our van (and we were in the middle of a road trip) and got it worked on that Friday and Saturday, and we picked it up on Monday. Now here's where it gets interesting. when I picked it up on Monday, a bunch of the ABS-related lights were lit up on the dash. THe work had been done on the bearing, so I asked what was up, thought maybe something in the internal diagnostics needed to be reset. Mechanic hooked it up to the machine, and said it looked like the sensor was bad, likely damaged before it was brought in, but only now sending a reading. I'm not a car guy, and it had a ring of truth, so I went along with it. A few months later I bring it in to figure out what needs to be fixed. local mechanic here in GA says the sensor is bad. puts in a new sensor.....and it goes bad in like 30 seconds. He suspects the bearing, which is what was replaced at TPS. he takes apart the bearing, and lo and behold, its in backwards. the magnetic strip that is read by the sensor was facing the wrong way (the whole bearing was in backwards), and the sensor was being damaged. I called TPS and explained the situation. sent photos of the bearing, and invoice from the new repair. TPS refunded me for the work that they did on the bearing, and paid for the work that the local place had to do on the sensor. that kind of integrity and standing behind your work says a ton about this company. I will definitely bring my vehicle back whenever I need help in S. Illinois

It's ironic that I was asked to review my experience about 30 minutes after I called and talked to the manager about my displeasure of being overcharged once again for my oil change. When I specifically ask for the least expensive oil change and get charged for the mid-range one, I get upset. I talked to the manager and he said to come back and he would give me the $10 I was overcharged, but I declined. I also didn't like having to wait 2 hours for the service. When I made the appointment, I was told it would take an hour to an hour and 15 minutes tops. Today is the first day I've done any significant driving after the tire rotation and alignment and there's a definite vibration, so I'm guessing I'll have to take it back to have it checked again.

Ken and Tommy run an excellent business in terms of meeting the maintenance corrective action for the vehicles that roll in and out of the shop every day. More important to them is the standard to conscience and ethics they maintain with each and every customer. You do not have to be afraid of being taken advantage of at Plaza Tire in Marion Illinois. Don’t get me wrong if you ask for an estimate it could be expensive. But it’s honest and their not touching anything that doesn’t need fixing. Dropped my car off at 1:00 for an APPOINTMENT that was scheduled far in advance, came back at 3:30 and it hadn’t been touched what’s so ever. I gave 2 stars because the man who I talked to when I came back was very friendly and apologetic. Besides him, it was not a good experience. I know others who have had the same problem recently. I feel that a new scheduling system is necessary, or anything to combat this issue. I ended up loosing my tire on the side of the road because of this.

I wanted to get the A/C checked and was referred to a local Automotive shop. All went well there and was grateful for the referral. I bought my Suzuki shortly after they went out of business. Where to go for service was a serious concern. That issue was short lived. Plaza tire is able to perform required service in a timely manner, at a fair price -- compared to a former Paducah Suzuki Dealership. Took my truck in for new brakes. Told my tires were bad, so I replaced them also. Both of these are fine, but when I picked it up and was told a few bars on front drive were replaced and steering was nice and tight, I could not steer it. Felt like no.power steering. Was told it was a coincidence that steering box was now also bad and needed replaced. I feel that something was not done correctly as the steering was fine when I took it in. They did agree to split the cost of the new steering box and it drives fine now, I just feel overall that this final issue was caused by the repair. Did follow through on making things right.

Was in there on a Friday, by appointment mind you, and what should have been a simple oil change, rotation, and alignment took almost 5 hours to complete. Totally unacceptable. Then after getting the GMC back and commencing my journey into my now very delayed business day, the GMC was pulling so hard to the right that I had to compensate with a hard left turn of the wheel. Due the already obscene delay to my day, I had no choice but to wait until the following Monday to return the GMC to figure out what went wrong. Upon picking the GMC up from the Monday visit I was told the problem was the vehicle was OUT OF ALLIGNMENT. Terrible service TERRIBLE TERRIBLE SERVICE. Not even an I’m sorry, let me do this to make up for your inconvenience, nope... Nadda. So very disappointed in the dramatic decline to the point of complete void of quality service. Between my husband and myself we have been patronizing your Marion location for over a decade. We have 5 vehicles.... and just like this review, what is really the point? I was informed my tires needed to be aligned. My Jeep did not pull but I was shown that the inside edge was wearing faster than the outside- so since I was leaving that weekend on a longer trip I had Plza tire align my tires. When I left my vehicle would suddenly veer to the left and then correct back to the right while driving straight. This continued to happen and I contacted the shop before I got on the interstate to leave on my trip. The shop told me that was normal and would basically continue to happen until I purchased new tires due to the uneven wear. I got on the interstate and embarked on the scariest 45 minute drive to Paducah in which my vehicle almost steered itself into several semi trucks and bridges. I had to stay in Paducah, rent a hotel room, wait for someone to come swap out vehicles. They had to drive it back to marion with the same level of non-control. Take it back to the shop only for them to then realize they had either left a bad ball joint in or didn’t replace the joint in the first place. I was not only not offered a refund, I had to pay for a hotel room, and waste a day of my trip. Things happen but I did call them and they basically told me I just needed new tires when the issue was caused by the shop. Very disappointing, otherwise great people and great experiences. This one was a nightmare.

I had to wait an hour and a half for a scheduled tire balance and rotation. It was an hour before they even touched my car. When they did, it was lifted up outside the building on four jacks rather than a lift. I'll go elsewhere for my rotations next time.

They promised they’d be able to accommodate me but I was running late when I finally got in and dropped off my vehicle on Tuesday October 23. I saw there were several cars waiting and wasn’t sure they’d be able to keep their promise. Yet they did, completing a front end brake job. I recently took my car in because I had a leak in one of my tires. It took them awhile to find it but they didn’t give up! They kept me updated with what was going on. Everyone was very professional and friendly. When paying for the leak repair I was pleasantly surprised on how reasonable it was. I will be returning for future needs.

When I go into the store, the customer service rep spends several minutes attempting to convince me they are to busy and maybe I could bring my car later even though I have already strongly explained that due to my work schedule that would be the only time. Next, they checked out my back breaks and informed me I needed to parts for the breaking system, and then gave me a quote of $798 plus taxes. I ended up getting a second opinion and they were correct, I needed new parts. But the total for all parts was $200 which means they were charging $600 for labor. I had a licensed mechanic do it and total for parts and labor was $450! Nearly half of what Plaza was going to charge! These types of experiences have become the norm for going into the store.
