I ordered my tires about a week ago then I had an appointment on a Tuesday morning when I get there. All of a sudden my tires are not there. I have to reschedule everything and had to get another appointment because you guys couldn’t get my tires there on time and I feel I should’ve got more of a discount Than what you gave me

Service time was ok, around 2 hours. I didn't pre schedule, so I can't really complain about the time. The shop looked pretty busy that day. The only real complaint was the tires I pick were supposed to be in stock, but weren't. The sales manager sold me a more expensive set of tires half way through the service, when they realized they didn't have the original tires. I had to spend about $150 more than I planned.

I definitely needed new tires. I went to Plaza Tire and they worked with me on a purchase of “buy 3 get one free” tires. They had to order the tires, as they had none of my choice in stock. When I arrived at the designated time, due to some sort of mixup, they were unable to provide the particular style of tire that I had ordered. To rectify this situation, they provided me with an upgraded tire for the same price we had previously agreed to. And here is the “icing on the cake”! They replaced all 4 tires, including balancing the tires, in exactly 22 minutes!!! I know. I timed them. I was both shocked and impressed! Thank you, Plaza Tire. You certainly lived up to your reputation as “quick change artist “!

Well pleased with the service I received for oil change and new battery. Got me in and out in timely manner and with the coupons the price was good. Very nice people to deal with. I would have given 5 stars but I thought the $40 labor to change out battery was quite excessive. Like I said though, with the coupons they had sent me the overall price was very competitive.

Kind of pricey for a simple tire repair

During a visit out of town, my car had a low pressure tire alarm come in. I soon realized that that had a slow leak in my driver rear tire which I arranged with plaza tire service to check first thing the next morning. They found a screw in the tire, patch it and we were back on the road very soon. They were very concerned and professional.

Just had front end alignment done

Brakes were metal on metal and needed em replaced in a hurry and knew I could rely on Plaza to get it done same day and not have to wait for availability at a local shop. Nick was great, very courteous and got the right parts I needed. Excellent customer service! Will use their services again.

Plaza Tires is my go to now in the area. I have a transport business that relies on the safety of my tires. Woke up to a wobbly inside dual tire that seemed "squishy." I had previous had this truck looked at in 3 other places. It had a death wobble so bad that I discovered the lug nuts weren't torqued correctly. Plaza tires knew what to do and do it correctly. Understood the specs that the tires needed to be torqued at for my truck. In addition they accurately diagnosed the problem of my inside dual tire...and got me out of there for under $30. Even my regular trusted ppl in another state couldn't figure out the wobble and what was going on. A SIMPLE screw causes a slow leak in my inside dual was causing all these problems. I know this may sound like a dramatic awesome review....but sometimes an extra set of eyes that look at the simple stuff is the only thing you need. Thank you so much for squeezing me in and keeping my horses and me safe on the road... You're friendly services and commitment made a little girl very happy to get her surprise birthday pony delivered on time for her birthday!

Called to ask if they work on BMW’s for an oil change, said yes, brought her up there left two hours later running fine. Went to start my car 4-5 hours later for work and the EML light and RED oil light comes on. They put too much oil in, the Nick, or Nate guy assured me they put in what their system says. While traveling between Chattanooga and Peoria, IL I started getting a low tire pressure warning. I put some air in the tire twice, hoping to get home to my usual tire dealer, but watched it go down each time too quickly for comfort. Plaza had a good web presence, and was easy to find from the interstate. They got me right in, found a large construction screw in my tire, and got me back on the road in about 30 minutes. I really appreciated their prompt care and regard for my time.

Back tire was flat asked to get it patched. Said they couldn't because the treads to low. (It definitely is to low) but they politely explained it to me on why they couldn't and the next steps. Forgot to reset tire monitor after rotation, forgot to put the tire key back in the vehicle, and receipt given to me was someone else’s receipt and not mine!

My brake light came on and the brake was going all the way to the floor when applied and would not hold brake fluid. The Technection diagnosed the problem and repaired it, a bolt came out of one of the breaks and rubbed the brake line every time the brake was applied. Thanks

We were on our way to Gulf Shores, Alabama when our tire went flat. They were so accommodating and friendly!!

I was charged for tire rotation when it shows ld have been free. I went back and it was credited. Cabin filter was replaced, but a wind noise appeared after replacing. Had to go back again to get that fixed. Someone got grease on the inside of the door on 2 places. These are all avoidable mistakes.

Since I got my truck back it has been making squeaking noises when in reverse and creeping forward, my change engine oil light it still on, and now my Check Engine Oil Level light is on. If these persist I will be seeking a full refund and will not be returning again.

Hershel put 4 new tires on my limousine in Mount Vernon Illinois 62864 and did a great job. The only thing Plaza Tire Service needs is a larger lift that a limousine will fit on. I needed an Oil Change, Drive Shaft greased, Etc. but Plaza was unable to preform the much needed maintenance. There are no places in Mount Vernon Illinois that can lift a Limousine, and there are several Limousines in need of repair but have to travel to Salem Illinois where there is a larger lift.

We were about 2 blocks away from Plaza when our car battery died. We had just picked up ice cream and other perishables at the grocer's. I am handicapped and my husband had just had surgery, so we needed someone who could come to us and get a new battery asap. This is not against the Mt. Vernon store, I live in Murphysboro, IL and only have had experience with them. I called to get a quote on 20” wheels and 37” tires ready to order. When I spoke with Rich, he immediately informed me that big tires are on back order for minimum of 6 months and didn’t take the time to check stock on any brand. I called the Anna store and spoke with Rob and within 10 minutes he called back with two separate quotes. Over the past 5 years I have spent thousands of dollars on wheels and tires, so I’m not the typical just checking prices customer. And within the last year I have had bad experiences with plaza and others I have spoken with have had the same experience. The laziness that goes on in this store is causing more and more customers to go elsewhere where they’re business is valued. I was told last year when I needed a valve stem replaced on a mower tire off of the machine that it would take a day and a half for a 10 minute job. I will no longer be using Plaza Tire unless things take a huge turn and customer service gets better.

When my car was returned and we were on the way to the airport, my check engine light came on and there was absolutely NO OIL in my car. We had 4 tires put on. We headed home got on highway and there was a bad vibration above 60 MPH. Turned around and went back to shop. Tech test drove car, said he didn’t feel it but would re-balance tires but it would take several hours before he could get to it. We did not have the time to wait. We live an hour from the shop. We are just going to go somewhere else to get the tire balanced. We don’t feel like driving an hour there and an hour back for your shop to fix what should have been taken care of on our initial visit. We won’t use your shop again and we will not recommend it to anyone we know.

I recently took my van to plaza tire in mt. vernon il , the van would pull hard to the left. I was told the van needed alignment and also the steering wheel was off. The bill was 150.00, when i picked it up I was told they drove the van after the alignment and it no longer pulled to the left and also showed me a alignment sheet to verify every thing was ok. I left their business and immediately could tell the van still pulled to the left, I took it back to them they then told me that I had a bad tire on the front, I said well i guess it didnt need a alignment they assured me that it did. I asked to have a full refund for the alignment they agreed to lower the bill from the lifetime alignment to the one time alignment, but could not refund the full price. I have always they have treated me fair in the past, but this time I definately know I didnt need a alignment, all I needed was a tire, dan dare

I was very pleased with the service I received at Plaza Tire Service in Mt. Vernon. I brought my car in because I believed the loud noise I heard during highway driving meant that I needed new tires, even though the tires I had purchased 2 years earlier at a different place had less than 20,000 miles on them. Chris Banes, the manager, told me that my description sounded more like a problem with the wheel bearings, and an inspection bore him out. After the wheel bearings were replaced, the mechanics performed an alignment well within the time they had estimated. Thanks Chris and the rest of the guys!

Mount and balance fees for 4 brand new tires that I got through tire rack over $150. I normally go to a different tire shop in town for mounting and balancing, but since I had already purchased a lifetime alignment service from Plaza tire I thought I would let the do the mounting and balancing. Imagine my shock when I seen a bill for twice what Purcell tire charges for mounting and balancing. They charge individual charges $20 for mounting and then $10 for balancing. Purcell charges mount and balance= 1 fee of $20. Plaza also charges a fee for valve stem/ toms , which they wouldn't tell me what it is for $4 per tire. What's more, it was my daughter's car and I didn't see the bill until the evening when she brought it home. I called them up to ask them about it, and when I started griping about it, they hung up on me. Left a message with theyre corporate office and no one bothered to get back with me. Save some agrivation and money and go somewhere else. Worst tire service center I've ever felt with.

Manager Chris Banes was so nice and helpful, I was from out of town and got a flat also bent the rim. This was on the front of the car. Tow truck driver put my spare on but wouldn't put it on rear of car for me so I'd feel safer it being on the back of the car. Chris and his team did that for me and 20.00 is all he charged and got me back on the road within 20 min. I forgot to mention this was a company car and I was in town for business. As I left I called my boss and he wanted to know if they had a tire so I turned around and went back and had Chris put a tire on my bent rim and changed out the donut spare which made me feel alot safer for the hour long ride I had to get back home. The night before Thanksgiving I needed to get a rear tire patched due to a screw in one of mine causing it to go flat overnight, plus 2 tires that had flat spots and uneven tread ware I needed looked at and a recommendation on what I should do, have them rotated or just get new ones. The 2 places I stopped at prior to Plaza Tire told me they couldn't help me at all with it being an hour before closing time the night before a holiday and although it probably wasn't safe for me to drive on the tire with a screw in it I would have to come back on Monday morning. So I decided to go ahead and stop by Plaza even though I figured I would just be told the same thing I'd been told by the last 2 places but was very pleasantly surprised when they got me in right away to patch my tire and were done in about 10 minutes too. Steffon is who was working the counter that night, checked me in and answered all my questions and he's awesome! I told him about my other 2 tires while he was checking me out and said I would just make an appointment to come back after Thanksgiving but he said they would be more than happy to take a look at them right now if I'd like, he went over my options and everything with me and I ended up getting 2 new tires which they actually had in stock already and wouldn't have to wait at least 2-3 business days for them to come in and then come back up there to have put on so I had everything done and my car was ready to go all in less than 30 minutes. I couldn't have asked for friendlier staff or better service and I highly recommend them! I'll be taking my car there for everything from now on!

My experience was quite horrible this last time I was charged $337 for two tires and an oil change I believe that was exceptionally High even for good quality product and good quality labor that is still very high the manager Christopher Blake was not friendly at all and tried to charge me for a lifetime alignment that he was not planning on doing if I had not question him about it he was going to charge me anyway even though he said the rear alignment could not be done and never once did he ask me about what type of oil change I wanted what type of oil I wanted or anything of that matter or that nature I felt like all he wanted to do was sell sell sell he didn't answer my questions and it was like I was a problem to him and he was trying to get rid of me I really hope that someone will contact me so that I can send a copy of my bill which seems very odd some of the charges on there word unexplainable to me and when I questioned him about it he blew me off saying that he was busy and he had a lot to get done in a short amount of time and there was nobody in the lobby I hope that you can please call me at 618-698-5146 so I can talk to somebody and find out why I was charged $337 for two tires and oil change I didn't want to pay that much money and I told him that it was going to wipe out my paycheck and I must add before that and I don't know if you guys will have any way to check this but the original price he was trying to charge me was $499 and that was after I talked to him about not having it a lot of money and I wanted to take off what I could that he let me know that he had given me Lifetime on each tire that he told me that labor for putting the tires on was $25 a piece it just seems very shady to me and I don't know if this guy is getting tires from somewhere else and then selling them there but after I left Plaza Tire I seen him in Walmart shopping with his daughter and I tried to speak to him and he still wouldn't talk to me and he gave me a dirty look I just feel underappreciated like my money wasn't good enough and my vehicle wasn't good enough and so on and so forth so please contact me I understand that you guys are business and one customer is not going to stop you from being in business and I have no plans to try to smear your name I understand that you always are going to have some bad apples no matter what business but I believe this man should be investigated at the very least reprimanded for his actions towards me and other customers I'm sure would have the same complaint the Plaza Tire store is in Mount Vernon Illinois and I had gone there before and had a great experience but I will not go back if this situation is not at least addressed with me thank you and my name is Stefan Ware

I walked over to Kroger's and got groceries and pushed the cart back to the plaza tire with me, when i got back the car was almost done.They changed the oil removed a screw from one tire and patched and had me on my way back home by 11am. Although the timeliness of their service was good, I was very disappointed that the assistant manager did not pay close attention when I pointed out which level of oil change I wanted. I specifically asked questions about the difference between the packages and then told him the one I wanted , but he performed the least expensive one which did not cover everything I wanted checked.

I don't usually do reviews, but here goes... I usually have my oil changed at a Ford dealership (usually Carmi or Harrisburg), but was leaving for a trip and didn't have the time to make the trip from McLeansboro where I live to another town just for that purpose. So, I had to be in Mt. Vernon that day so thought I would just try and get it done there. I first tried the Speed Lube and found it be closed. Then I tried Midas who said they couldn't get me in but recommended your business and one other that I don't remember now (yours was closer). I found your store clean and those that waited on me were courteous. I was disappointed in the price for the service, however. I paid $65.00 for an oil and filter whereas I paid less ($60.85) for my last oil change at the Ford dealership in Carmi and that included a mult-point inspection and a tire rotation, so quite a bit more than just a regular oil change. In addition, I knew I was low on windshield wiper fluid and although I apparently did not pay for that to be refilled (by the plan I chose - didn't realize that at the time), when I asked if it was filled up when I paid, I was told "no" that wasn't in the plan your chose. No problem with that response, but the fact that you could clearly see that it was low and no one even told me "hey, we noticed that you needed some windshield wiper fluid", bothered me because I would have thought that the mechanic should have noted that on his sheet and had the cashier tell me even if I didn't pay for it. Anyway, the guy that checked me out had the mechanic fill it up and didn't charge me. Nice gesture, but still I think a customer should be told about something that needs to be done even if it's not on the list of what the customer paid for. Good thing I knew it was low, but what if I hadn't and had left for a long trip for the Dakotas (where I am going) and there was lots of nasty weather needing the windshield cleaned a lot - that's a small thing that can be corrected at the next gas station, but what if it had been something more serious? So overall, because of the price and not being told about a low fluid level that can be seen without a dip stick, I can't go more than a 2 star. Alan Downen

Quick prompt service getting in for oil change and filter. However the next day I noticed an oil leak on my garage floor. I returned to the store to have it checked. They cleaned up around the engine and told me that it was just residue form the oil draining out from the oil change. I told them I would keep a watch for future leakage. After a week and continuous oil leakage I returned to the store to have it looked into. They then told me I had leakage around my oil pan gasket. They could not do anything about that. I went home and cleaned everything up on the floor and under the engine. I looked for where the leak was happening and noticed that the oil plug on the oil pan was leaking. I bought a new oil plug, drained the oil , installed the new plug and replaced the oil in the engine. Walla! No oil leaking. I think they should have been able to diagnosis this while in the shop. I won’t be going back. I had also purchased new set of tires last year and will not be doing that again either.
