Bought Vehicle

Bought vehicle they said they would make everything right that we told them need fixed. Two weeks later they are refusing to look at it again. Said they would pay for us to have fixed the one thing they supposedly fixed if it's found that it is not working but everything else is done. I did buy warranty...hoping it is helpful but from what I'm reading here I'm not encouraged. Sure wish I had read this first!!!

Buyer Beware!

My husband bought a truck for work from Cobra Auto in Louisville KY on April 27, 2013. They picked this truck because the salesman, the owner, told them it came with a 3 year warranty- have that in writing with his signature. Was told it would be a great truck for work and that it was in great condition, no wrecks. To make a long story short it locked up 2 miles after loading it to the trailer, called the warranty co & they do NOT warrant 1 ton trucks-it has no warranty! My husband called the owner when this happened, told him it had no warranty, told him it was in non-working order and that they wanted their money back since he had told them it had a warranty and they found out it doesn’t…he said he would get back to them…week later no response. Seller didn't return our calls or emails...He finally emailed me back after reading one of my negative reviews on another site and asked me to stop lying about what is happening, that he had talked to my husband several times (lie, proven by cell records) and said he had kindly offered my husband $799 to pay for a warranty (lie, he never mentioned anything about money, had't returned his call!) AND $799 is a joke considering the warranty he offered to buy as part of the deal was $1500 AND who is going to warrant it now anyway- it's not working! The estimate to fix it is 3 times that amount and now we have to go through the trouble of hiring an attorney to get justice! Have now also found out that it was in a wreck and he said it had not. Horrible experience!

none

Cobra motors are a shady dealership. here it goes ..found car on internet... called sales guy.... asked if car had previous damage, clean title etc. Yes yes yes said cobra great car great car..... i pulled a car fax report...... came back clean... sort of. Car fax guaranteed title to be clean of salvage, rebuilt, lemon, junk ,hail, flood. yet it was bought at a salvage auction. i found this interesting. There was a report of flood damage in New York. seemingly the car was originally a New york car which got caught in Hurricane sandy.. My point is as follows, these s---sters from cobra are buying damaged cars and washing the titles. washing the title means titling the car in a different state. Apparently there are states where the DMV dont re issue the car with a branded title. This is outrageous but very true. Be careful do your home work.

My recommendation is to NOT PURCHASE A VEHICLE FROM THIS LOT!!! Got a friend that made the mistake of buying a car from them recently and now he found out that the car had been wrecked, the frame is jacked up and its going to cost thousands to fix it...Cobra's answer? "Man, if you had called 2 days ago I would have been able to help you out..."

CONSUMERS BEWARE!!! I went to this "establishment" to buy a vehicle. I was told I could not take it to my mechanic, it is in good running condition, and the truck was looked over by there mechanic. I bought the vehicle on their word, and take it to my mechanic the next day. My mechanic informs me there is only one functional brake, and later find out there is a cut in a brake hose which leaves no reliable brake system at all. The engine needs to be resealed, the transmission needs a complete rebuild, the rear wheel seals are leaking, there is no parking brake, and the clutch needs replaced. The worst part about this is they let me put my family in this vehicle to drive it home with a barely working brake system. They do not follow any trade regulations set forth by the FTC, such as a buyers rights guide posted to vehicle, which was not present. Regulations set forth by Kentucky such as the merchantability law. Long story short lies, deception, heartless, and a hole in the wall establishment. I had full intentions to bring this vehicle back from the dead, and sue the crap out of these people for reckless endangerment since the BBB did nothing for me. But I was currently diagnosed with a medical condition which is forcing my family and I to move down to Florida close to family. If I were to carry on with a lawsuit I may suffer a cardiac arrest from the stress. So I now have to sell the vehicle, take my losses, and take care of my health and family now. STAY AWAY FROM HERE, DO NOT GO HERE, IT IS NOT A LEGITIMATE BUSINESS!!!
