Honest Mechanic
I've gone to Hub Starters for around 3 years now and have had a good experience every time. Lou works with you to get the problem solved without over spending, and I feel like he's been very upfront and honest in his assessments. Steven Guerrette

Everything
My family and I've been going to Hub Starters for over 20 years. They have always been up front and honest with estimates and repairs needed. I've gradually moved about an hour north of their location so over the tears I've gone to other shops and gotten estimates to see if other shops closer to me compare and every time I'm shocked at the estimates given and then just bring my vehicles to Hub and have them repair them saying nothing about the other estimates. They always are well under the other prices sometimes by hundreds of dollars! And the biggest reason I continue to bring my vehicles to Hub is I know my car is repaired right and safe for my family to drive in. Thank you Hub Starters!

Auto Repair in Malden
I recently went to Hub Starters for the first time this past week, and I am now a customer for life. Knowing very little about cars, I am so thankful to have access to a mechanic that I can trust. Fairly priced, excellent work and a family style business that is well run. I really felt that they went out of their way to accommodate me. I hope not to visit soon, but I won't be using anyone else. Thank you Lou and Brian!

you name it, he's done it
I have gone to Lou, for over 20 years! I had used other mechanics in the past and had only so so results. However, Lou gives great advice and he and his employees do excellent work. If you have heard of the dog whisperer, I call Lou the "car whisperer." I can tell you many stories: like the 90 year old man who's engine light had come on time after time, no matter where he went to get it fixed it would go on again. Upon entering, he asked me, "Is this guy any good?" I replied, "If he can't figure it out, I don't know who can." Sure enough there was an pin size hole in the seal around the gas cap/area. Lou fixed found it and fixed it. Another story: My van had new tires put on, then after getting them balanced etc., my rear end was shaky...I couldn't figure it out. I took it to the dealer to get his opinion and he said it could be this "$800!" dollar part, I went to Lou who looked at it, disagreed with the dealer and said start at the basics...."Re-balance," then work from there. I did, and sure enough it was a simple fix. I highly recommend Lou to anyone! Excellent service!

Emission Test
My car failed its emissions test numerous times, Lou figured out the problem the first time he looked at it and fixed it that day. Most importantly, he explained things to me in clear lay English, offered options, and made suggestions before going ahead with any work. I would return to them for everything if they were in my neighborhood and will certainly drive the extra 30 minutes should my car have anymore major issues. Thank you!

Auto Repair
Great service! So glad I found this shop!! I had a quote from Firestone for a large amount of money and Hub Starters beat the price, got the job done early and did an excellent job. My truck is running just as I hoped it would. It gives me great peace of mind knowing my car is always in good hands. Give this shop a try...it's really worth it.
