Banchwerks was created by a group of car enthusiasts to fill the void in the Rhode Island performance shop market. We work on cars because that is what we like to do. Basically we are a bunch of car fanatics and we would like nothing more to make your car exactly they way you want it. Our 7500 square foot location is located right off the highway in the heart of Providence at 357 West Fountain St. We have the speciality equipment and expertise to repair, weld, improve and fabricate parts for your car. No project is to big or to small for us to handle whether you are building the show car you always wanted, taking your street car to the next level or creating a full stage rally car from the ground up we shy from no challenges. For over 20 years, I have had all of my vehicles maintained and repaired by B&D, (plus extras like remote starters and sound equipment installed). The prices for parts and labor are transparent and reasonable, quotes for work are on target, my car functions beautifully, and I have consistently felt extremely well treated by everyone in this shop. There is NO BETTER PLACE to take your car for service, repair or estimates. There isn't anything they couldn't handle. I have been using them for years for fleet vehicles as well as my own personal car. Can't imagine taking it ANYWHERE else, ever. It's nice to find people you can trust.

Make sure to take physical pictures of everything that is broken or needs repair that you’re already aware of, prior to bringing your vehicle into this shop. They will exploit those damaged/failing parts and cause further damage to them. It seems to be part of a ploy to generate revenue for their shop because they will then try to get you to make the repairs there. Don’t expect any accountability either…. They seem to have temporary amnesia when confronted about damage that they were clearly responsible for. Alan Symmes and company - stop believing that each customer that steps foot in your shop, is as naïve as you paint them to be. These are the types of mechanics that will pull the bait and switch on you, if presented with the opportunity…. You know, replacing your new parts in working condition with used/failing parts to swindle honest customers out of their own money.
