Engine, Electrical, Transmission

Clarkes Garage is the best of the best. Honest, Reliable, Reasonable and always there for you in a pinch. turn arounf time is good and you never feel like your getting screwed over. I have used them for over 10 years and I will not go anywhere else. They were known for the longest time as being only a transmission shop but they do it all. Years ago before we found Clarks my wife was always nervous about dealing with a Mechanic because they usually talk down to women, but that is not the case with Clarks she feels very comfortable with them and does not feel intimidated at all. Use them you will not regret it. Chuck

Emergency assistance

Clarke's Garage delivered urgently-needed assistance to my guests on July 16, 2013, and it was greatly appreciated. One of the limousine's tires was punctured during a Tuesday afternoon tour of the Leelanau. I called Clarke's, explained that I was in the midst of a job, and asked whether they could see what could be done to get my guests back on the road immediately - while recognizing I was asking them to drop what they were doing in order to help. They immediately agreed to at least examine the problem. I dropped my guests in Suttons Bay so that they could relax and enjoy themselves there for the time-being, and took the limo to Clarke's. They quickly determined the problem was just a puncture which could be fixed quickly, and did so (for a perfectly reasonable price). That allowed me to salvage the job by returning to my guests and getting them on their way with hardly any inconvenience to them. That service is why I've taken my 2002 F-150 to them ever since, and learned that they take care of it just as well - thoroughly, competently, and at a reasonable cost - as they did the limousine.
