Transmission rebuild

This is the worst transmission shop I have every dealt with. I had troubles starting within one month and less than 500 miles. It was in and out of there 3 times before he starting blaming the problems on my engine.

Attempted Transmission Repair

My truck (only mode of transportation) transmission broke down just before October. This is an 02 Chevy 2500 4x4 single cab, so not an uncommon vehicle at all. I dropped it off on October 3rd, 2016, and explained to the owner that this was my only transportation and needed it back quickly. This person who I think is the owner told me it would be roughly two weeks. Fast forward and it has now been over 9 weeks, and in that time-frame, this place has removed and replaced the transmission at least 4 times, given it back to me claiming it was “done” twice. When I picked it up those two times, I didn’t make it back to Portageville before it either overheated, refused to shift, or both. It appears to me that these guys are not sure how to rebuild the transmission. The worst part of all of this is that each time I had to take the truck back to them, they have treated me like crap. Each time i have called about the truck (17 times so far at the time of this statement), they have been rude. They tell me that they will get to it “when they get to it.” If you give someone $1500 to rebuild your transmission, and after 8 weeks, four tries (minimum), you picked it up twice and had to take it back before you could even get it home, then what does that say about this business? Here is another fun fact, it has been two weeks since I last dropped it of and when I called yesterday (12-7-16), they said that they haven’t even touched it yet. I have now been made aware of several others who had a similar experience with this shop. In my opinion, these guys lack basic people skills needed for any business, and shouldn’t be working on anybody’s transmission. I am seeking my money back so I can get my vehicle fixed correctly in a timely manner.
