i had the tires rotated on my pickup last week, the appointment was at 3;30 they did not get it done until almost 4;45. i do not know if they stopped working on mine and worked on another one are what, i think it was too long to rotate tires.

The only issue I had was the air pressure in tires did not rise as tech said it would and I had to add additional air to get low tire air pressure warning light to go off. The tech only put 34 PSI and it should have been 36 minimum according to tire specs on drivers door. Not a big deal for me, but other people might not have an air compressor at home to do it. 9.5 hours is a bit much when you make an appointment. Time management is an issue. Thank god I was at work for over 8 of the hours. Had to purchase coolant because you use a universal fluid, which is not right for a lot of cars. And you wiped my ODO when you unsuccessfully tried to clear my maintenance required light, so I have to pay closer attention to my mileage for my next rotation since it’s not on the same schedule as my oil changes.

Took truck to Plaza Tire due to bad shimming at speeds between 60 - 70 mph. Got it back, took trip to Fredericktown noticed it was worse instead of better once I got on I-55. Couldn't turn back due to appointment at Fredericktown, so I just reduced speed. Called wife and told her to call Plaza Tire and let them know whatever they did made it worse. Scheduled appointment, went in and spoke with (I think the mechanic's name was Dave) he said he would make sure the problem got taken care of this time and said he would take it for a test ride himself. When I got the truck back problem was fixed. Apparently the first mechanic who worked on my truck didn't know what he was doing because all my tires were out of balance. I guess like most places of work, you have your employees who know what they are doing and take pride in their work. And employees who don't know what they are doing and don't ask someone the correct way to do something. For most part the people up front are personable and helpful. I wish I knew for sure the name of the employee who made sure it got fixed correctly when I took it back because he cared.

I have been a customer at this location for some time and never had a significant problem. However, my last experience was poor. I left my daughter's car for oil change and inspection and asked the front desk personnel to call me when it was done or if there were any problems. I dropped the car off early for a 10 am appt. At noon, I had not heard anything so I called and I was told I was " all set". When I went to pick up the car at about 3 or so - I was informed that the car had failed inspection. I was disturbed since I had not been called when I had asked to be - and in addition, even if they had called they would not have had time to fix it. I was quoted 169.00 to fix what was needed - I paid 125.00 elsewhere to get the items fixed. In addition, while I was dealing with this at the counter, there were 2 other customers waiting, 1 Plaza person at the counter, and the phone had to be placed on hold with this very loud and annoying tome going off every few seconds - there were no other counter personnel around. Noth the best experience.

I was confused on how the alignment before and after sheet worked since both the before and after was green. I got an alignment on Friday and my wheels started making a terrible sound by Sunday morning. Since it was Sunday, I could not take my car back for them to look at it. I took my car to a friend's house for him to look at. When he went to take the tires off to take a look, the lug nuts where not tight. Normally, I receive good and thoughtful service....however, during this visit it was determined that I needed 1 tire replaced due to camber/toe alignment problem...I had 2 Firestone tires and 2 Yokohama tires on my truck...the tire needing replacement was a Yokohama white lettered tire....it was replaced with not the same tire, same tread pattern, but with a Firestone Discover tire.....NOW, I have an odd tire on the truck....the staff replaced the tire with an odd tire....an alignment review indicate NO alignment problem that caused the uneven wear on the tire that was replaced.....add to that, I was quoted $163 for the replacement tire...but the total replacement cost came to just shy of $200.....None of this made me happy.....Plaza has been my tire source in the PAST...the future is questionable. The staff didn't seem to care whether I drove away happy or not.

On vacation driving thru a big rain storm when the engine light starts blinking and the car loses power. It won't go over 45mph. Made it to Plaza Tire Service and they said they'd take a look. They were very busy but they managed to get to it and check the diagnostics which checked out fine....and the engine light had stopped blinking. Then to be sure, they took it out for a test drive and it had full power. It was probably from all the rain and after sitting for a while everything dried out, but when I tried to pay them they wouldn't take a penny. I got new tires put on my car and when I got in it the low tire light was still on. The service tech did not bother to reset it. When I brought it to their attention they told me it was on when I brought it in and I told them I knew that but I did not reset it because I figured they would since they were putting new tires on it. They did reset it then while I had to wait another 15-20 minutes. Also they did not have time to do the free alignment check that comes with new tires. Seems like the service techs were either just lazy or not very educated. Tires are good though.

I've been a customer for 20 years and I'm questioning where I'll take my business moving forward. I had over $2,000 parts/labor done in October to my Dodge 3500 to correct "death wobble" on the front end of my truck. For the next month plus I had not drove it much but felt it drove a bit different. I hadn't put 500 miles on it and on December 2nd my 4 kids and I were traveling down the interstate (my 16 yr. Old daughter driving) I continued to notice a bit of a vibration that was getting worse. We pulled off the interstate just in time because the steering stabilizer shock fell off on one end dragging the ground. 30 miles from home, freezing cold and I had to work on my vehicle. Great!! A loose bolt was the cause. This is the 2nd MAJOR issue I've had in the past couple years with Plaza Tire that jeopardized safety/could have been very costly if it had damaged the vehicle or caused an accident. I commute from Cape Girardeau to Perryville which means I'm in for my oil change/tire rotation every two months or so. I buy my tires from Plaza and when I asked for a quiet road tire M+S rated I got a good price and tires that are silent on the highway where my Yukon spends all of its time (if it's ever off road I've been in an accident). When I need something fixed I rely on the Plaza guys to take care of it. Recently, for example, I had the somethingorother for the antilock brake system go south. The manufacturer price on that part alone was $800. The Plaza guys got it removed/rebuilt/reinstalled for something like $200. Last week the "Service 4-wheel drive" light came on. Imagine how THAT worried me. Got it fixed, all in one day, for about $400. Plus which, I use their money on the six months same as cash deal. Plaza is my go to tire place and also my general mechanic shop (at 70 my days of do-it-yourself fixing are behind me).

Truck was taken in at scheduled appointment time,was out in 1hr15 minutes. Staff was friendly, price for tires and service was as quoted ( which was cheaper than the other three quotes I got). I thought that I would also need an alignment but they checked alignment for free and everything was within specs. Based upon this experience I will return there for tires on my car if pricing is still better than others. Overall I was very pleased with my tire purchase . One final note ,over the course of pricing tires this establishment had several different people at the service desk on various days, but all the info for quoted price was in their system and everything went great.

The tire was pulled up tight but the device that goes through the center of the wheel was not fully seated. If over time, it had worked its way to center it could have allowed it to drop down about an inch. Not a big deal but tech may want to verify this in the future.

THE WORK THEY DONE AS FAR AS I CAN SEE WAS GOOD. I DO FEEL THAT THEY CHARGE TO MUCH FOR THE PARTS, I COULD HAVE BOUGHT THEM AT A PARTS STORE FOR HALF THE PRICE OR LEES. I"M OK WITH SOME MARK UP BUT NOT THAT MUCH . THEY DID USE THE BEST QUALITY PARTS AND GETTING AN APPOINTMENT WAS IN A TIMELY MANNER. FRIENDLY SERVICE. AS FAR AS A TIRE STORE GOES THEY ARE TOP NOTCH.
