Jim is married with two kids, and has been working in the automotive repair industry for 23 years. He opened CMD Automotive in 1995 and has been a working partner ever since. Jim is an ASE Re-Certified Master Automotive Technician. He also is a certified MIG and TIG welder, is certified in anti-theft systems as well as a locksmith, and holds a certification in Advanced Fuel Systems. He also has a Federal Air frame and Power plant License, and is a factory certified BMW technician. Jim’s vast experience means your car will be well taken care of at CMD, giving you the confidence you should find in an auto repair shop.

Engine work, Oil change, Tires
I've been going to CMD for years. They know my truck and know me and treat me like family. I appreciate the fact that they are always honest about what's going on, and they are always able to explain it to me. They do great work, and are trustworthy and reliable. Definitely recommend CMD.

Honda Repair
These guys are great. I've taken my old Honda to them on a couple of occasions, and they always gave it to me straight (even recommending against some unnecessary repairs). When the Honda finally died for good, I had it towed to their shop to look at. They were very gracious in allowing me as much time as I needed to arrange for the car to be sold for scrap value, while it was parked on their property. Highly recommended.

Auto Repair and Maintenance
CMD has been taking great care of our vehicles for many years. They are always honest, provide fair pricing, and fix things quickly. They take care not to recommend services you do not need and make sure you fully understand any repair work they recommend. If you live in Charlotte or the surrounding area I highly recommend them.
