Replaced thermostat and cooling pump on our Audi A3
My wife needed a thermostat and cooling pump replaced on her Audi A3. We stopped by as soon as they opened to see if they could get us in and we’re very grateful when they said they could fit us in. Considering we did not schedule an appointment, they did us a huge favor. The thermostat and water pump was replaced in 2 business day. We picked up the car and they had cleaned it for us, good customer service. However, today I went to change the oil in her car and when I went to unbolt the undercarriage shield, where the oil pan is located, I was unable to do so because they had stripped one of the bolts AND one was missing. Before we picked up the car, they told us we were going to have to pay additional money because one of the bolts “seized up” on the intake and the tech had to drill it out. They ended up not charging us additionally but said it may need to be drilled out next time. I have not gotten the chance to call them yet because we picked it up Thursday and I found this issue today (Saturday). The explanation about the bolt seizing up didn’t make sense to me but now I see why. Hopefully they make this right because overall it was a good experience. For now I am rating Carmines Import Service 4 out of 5 stars. Depending on how this pans out will dictate a 5/5 rating or drop down to a 3/5 rating.

Damaging the Bonneville salt flats
The video you posted tearing up the Bonneville salt flats, which is a protected national landmark, speaks volumes.

Audi Mechanic
Great service! They got me a diagnosis the day I brought my audi in and had it fixed by lunch the next day! Not to mention they got me home 15 minutes after I dropped of my car at 7:30 a.m. Chris B. Kernersville, NC

5 Star Service and Staff
Fresh from NYC and never having owned a car, I thought a 1984 BMW would be fun. To give you an idea of where things stood, the car wouldn't start once so I went looking for the choke to unfreeze it. Enter Carmines. They have handled every mechanical issue impeccably. The car is in better shape now than when I got it. And they never ever took advantage of my ignorance. Instead, they explained what needed to be done, made sure I understood it, laid out alternatives, and let me decide. My car is in better shape, and I know much more about cars than when I first went to see them. Recently I was in there and Carmine was firmly advising a car owner to be clear about his long-term plans for his car before he started paying to track down and fix an intermittent problem. They're not cheap; you pay an appropriate amount for the quality of work and never worry about being had. The only glitch I can think of is a time when they were working on my car and I recommended them to my boss. Naturally, that was the time that I don't remember why repairs dragged on and on and every day I'd show up to work in their loaner. My boss got sarcastic and I got embarrassed. Carmine handled the problem personally and all was resolved. Terrific work; reasonable charges; up-to-date loaners; outstanding customer service geared to your particular needs (shuttle, pick up, etc.) from people you'll enjoy knowing. Total integrity. A super high-end experience for regular people. Marjorie S. Winston-Salem, NC
