Engine replaced/other various repairs
Always honest, reliable and trustworthy. I'm with a non profit organization and he always does the repairs and inspections for our transport vans. Never overpriced and he is an all-around good guy!

engine repair
Had a knock in a motor. He installed a crank kit that resulted in a different knock. Kept saying he would fix never did after an extended period of time. Parts started disappearing off the truck, hood was left open with air cleaner off. Ended up taking him to court and he got off on technicalities. Statue of limitations ran out on the warranty and since his yard isn't secure he's not responsible for anything that may happen to your car even if he is involved. My experience went in to get a knock fixed left with a vehicle missing over 3k in parts. Took $2k to get it back running again only to hear the same knock. Take a good look around his yard before you drop your car into this black hole. Make sure you get EVERYTHING in writing.

trans and axle
I have taken a dozen cars, trucks and vans to lauters and its always repaired properly at a reasonable rate. he is a truly a true tradesman at his craft. I stopped looking for mechanics when I received my first repair and bill. it hard to find quality and honesty from a mechanic. I have went through 20 mechanics that robbed me of money, only to find that I was overcharged and received poor quality repair.i have refered my clients to him and I get a thank you note for telling about great service that they received. many of my clients were frustrated repairing the same repair many times over. he repairs other shops poor workmanship.
