Mike Cho, the owner and operator of “The Garage” has been professionally part of the car industry for over 33 years. The Garage has been in business at current location since 2005.
The Garage was specifically built to service and repair large or small fleet vehicles and boasts as being one of Albuquerque’s largest shops with twelve bays, ranging from small car and truck repair, all the way up to 30K lb. service trucks. Since opening in 2005, The Garage has grown in to full service auto and truck repair shop and in the eyes of Albuquerque Journal readers it is the best at what it does and awarded as the best auto repair shop of the year in 2014 and 2015, two years in a row. And, it also won "Best of the city" award by "Albuquerque The Magazine" in 2015.
Our repair technicians are some of the most highly skilled, trained and qualified in the entire state of New Mexico with certifications as that include ASE Master Mechanics to ASE Master Heavy Truck as well as EVT (emergency vehicle technician).

Tow/ Diagnostics/ EGR valve
Super nice people, fast service and reliable. Fast towing. Good communication. You will pay well for this, though, huge mark up on the EGR valve ($355.39)and well charge labor ($294.50). Make sure you can afford them.

Fuel Pump plus Towing
After a phone quote, I authorized The Garage to tow my truck from the dealership. The price was at least 20% cheaper and the tow was free. They also included a new fuel filter in the repairs. One very happy customer!

Oil leaks fixed, awesome service
My VW spent a week at the dealer and they called me with a 3000.00 estimate for oil leaks. I didn't trust them so I took my car to The Garage for a second opinion. They repaired all my leaks for $800 (about 1/4 of the dealers estimate) and I am no longer leaving drips in my driveway. I also noticed that they have free towing too. The staff was nice and the repairs were good. I have finally found a mechanic I can trust.

Thermostat and Towing
After hearing really great things about The Garage Auto Repair from several relatives and friends, I decided to give them a try. There are plenty of good things to say about this shop. My first experience with themwas a very good one . First of all, each and every employee that I dealt with was exceptionally pleasant. I initially called from the side of I-25 after my Jeep overheated. The lady who answered the phone explained the program to me and dispatched their tow truck to where I was stranded. The tow truck driver was polite and gave me a ride to the shop. My Jeep was looked at almost instantly by a mechanic. After roughly 20 minutes in their waiting room I was given an estimate. Turns out that my thermostat got stuck. While I waited, they replaced it and added new coolant. I saw my Jeep go on a 10-15 minute road test to verify that there wasn't any other issues. My entire experience with The Garage was textbook perfect. The staff was overly nice, the price was very reasonable, and the service was impressive. One other thing worth metioning is that there was no charge for the tow. I have never been so satisfied in my life. I would go a very long way to get this customer service and craftsmanship again.
