Said car need repair, I drove it in; he broke it then said tow it out !
On August 5 I drove my newly purchased 1996 Buick LeSabre to Joe's Auto Shop. He done work before for me. He told me the all fuel lines are rusted and need to be replaced w/ cost around $250 - #300 taking 1 day maybe 2. Hen then adde that he will need to replace fuel pump costing about $150. I said okay. He later said he was able to make line connections and did not replace pump. Since then I have been contacting him to get car back but cannot because he says he keeps breaking things but he refuses to estimate cost. He then mentions that it should be a $800 - $ 1000 cost. Yesterday 08/17/2013 he says to take car back and I need to tow it because the fuel lines are in pieces. He knows that I need this car to transport my 93 year old mother. I am retired with limited income and now have to tow my car that he rendered inoperable and find some place to replace and repair the damaged caused by him. He now says that that I owe him $300 for material (including pump) and time. He says that he is leaving for a month at close of business this Wed. , August 21, 2013. What are my options? Can you call or write a letter? Thanks for any assistance.
